So...... you see Arch Manning hooking his future to UT? You see this program as his best option? With a relatively new AD and relatively new HC and a relatively new recruiting team?UT, not we, will likely hire an AD in the next 3 days and a HC by next week.
Sounds like our best recruiting coaches were simply good because of sloppy payments to players. UT will end up with a decent class this year. Not Top-5. But not shabby considering the circumstances.
The sanctions will probably be a 1-Year bowl ban and a few scholarships. UT football will have a couple of challenging years. Of course, we’ve had 12 freaking challenging years, so what’s two more. But the program will move on and very likely come out better with the right hires.
As for getting a grip, sounds like you really need to take heed to your own advice.

Realistically, I don't see us being on Arch Manning's radar at all. Too much risk to his future from a poor O Line.
Wrong. The investigation took the NCAA four years to complete. The PAC 10, and even the FBI were involved.no they weren’t. they were blindsided.
No one had any idea the ncaa was going to crush them for Reggie bush involvement w/ an agent.
In fact, court transcripts and phone records show that they had nothing at all on the Todd McNair for USC...
I guess all of us are wondering when it's going to start getting better. I am all in, but I think we all know how extremely important these two hires are. I know you already know this, but we have to get these right. Thank you for the update.Remember I told everyone that it was going to get worse before it got better.
The transfer stuff you saw today was purely a by product of those players not being eligible at UT moving forward due to things that will most likely come out in the investigation at some point....Nothing more.
His two classes at Coastal have been ranked 121st and 99th nationally. 99th is their highest ranking in recruiting in program history and he led them to a top ten ranking. So I say he's a pretty good coach. Also you do realize that student athletes that are already enrolled and on campus spending scholarship money on wrong things doesn't effect how good they are or how good their coaches are right? It didn't give Chadwell or any other coach at CSU any advantages or disadvantages.
Unless I misread.... Missouri did the investigation for them and turned over the findings..... as for SMU.... the NCAA stated they would never give out the death penalty again.... can you find a single example where our approach has been then telling the NCAA that we are going to fight them and to see what they can find?So they missed a bowl. SMU had to shut their PROGRAM DOWN. Never have recovered! And once again, Mizzou COOPERATED with a NCAA investigation...not “what we did” with all the heavy lifting. If Plowman had sat on this information there would be threads from some of the same people saying she needed to be booted. She did it right.
So he cheats and wins but the NCAA can’t prove it when they investigate..... that’s exactly who we want as our coach.I think he's winning beyond the norm at two programs.
At CSU ODDLY...... VERY ODDLY...... only the football program excelled but the "compliance issue was widespread."
At Coastal, suddenly he's excelling again....... yeah okay.
Maybe he's a great coach who doesn't want to take the usual path of working in a larger program as an OC/DC and learning from a top tier coach.
Maybe he's "The Natural" and a purebred prodigy who appeared out of nowhere.
And maybe I'm the Duchess of Romania, who needs a shave.......
He wasn’t owned.... he was found innocent by the NCAA.Chadwell got owned by the NCAA at Charleston Southern.
I'd put down a stack of McDs Happy Meals that if he hangs another 2 years at Coastal Carolina, the NCAA will own him there.
It's odd, isn't it, how he goes to a random unheard of football school, they win big then vacate those wins....... he is now at another random unheard of football school winning big........ want to guess what comes next?????
Hard pass.
Kiffin wants back in. We've already hired/fired BOB, B Stoops, Chadwell, Herman and Kiffin. Apparently we will have an AD by this weekend. What’d I miss? I’ve been working since 8pm yesterday.....
I think he would be a homerun with the mess we are in.Bill O Brien def fits the proven winner profile:
Psu desite wild sanctions:
8-4
7-5
Houston:
9-7
9-7
9-7
4-12
11-5
10-6
0-4 when he lost team in offseason thanks to ranking on GM job and trading away Hopkins.
Fitzgerald could give him insight and maybe even come back to work for him.
It's not quitting if he's forced to leave because of the investigation. Someone might say oh he took money. Yeah he's 18 and by all accounts all the big ones take money. Fact is he trusted his coach and his coach's arrogance, stubborness, and sloppiness is jeopardizing these kids eligibility. Let's not forget who the victims are. It's not the coaches who got paid more than most of us on here. It's not the fans. Sucks for us but our lives haven't been derailed. It's these kids and until everything comes out, we don't know what pressures or trouble they might be in. Fact is Pruitt sat in their living rooms and told the parents he'd take care of their boys and he failed miserably.STFU man. If you’re gonna leave then whatever but don’t put this fake a$$ ish out there. No one wants to give you a pat on the back for being a quitter
I don’t care whose feelings would be hurt...if we could land Kiffin with Steele as DC, and lock him into a contract that guarantees he stays at least 5 years, because his buyout, if he leaves, is so ridiculous no one would touch him (and that includes NFL), then you make it happen ASAP!!! We have more talent than Ole Miss and he was scoring insane points with them. Steele would get the defense turned around. My only reason I don’t see it happening is that the NCAA would probably frown heavily on that move and hammer us more for the infractions. I know this...there are 4 of us on this board who would call the ticket office and request season tickets as soon as the hire is made!Bob Vols:
The Haslams and Kiffin have a great relationship.

Any idea if it will get any worse? Besides the NCAA punishmentRemember I told everyone that it was going to get worse before it got better.
