At this point, just the way the chips fell? I am almost certain this "original moron" you speak of had the backing of more than himself, or Phil would not be exiting gracefully. Don't claim your harsh opinion as truth. It is asinine.

I'm sure he was fired. I think it's crap that he gets to burn the program to the ground, pretend to retire while being feted like he was the savior of Tennessee, and get his buyout as if he was fired. He's sucked enough money from the University over the years as it is.

It's not BS that Fulmer actively campaigned for the head coaching job while Majors was still head coach.

I think that’s right, but there’s context to it. The reason boosters were talking to Fulmer is that Majors had become erratic and had pissed off a lot of folks. Fulmer was supposedly the one holding the staff together and had the leverage.

The University that I've given 6 figures to over the years is in a major financial crunch in the athletic department and a failed multimillionaire who wrecked the football program is getting to walk away from it while pretending to be a saint and getting paid for it in a circumstance where one would normally not be paid for it.

Now that I've explained that, why do you care that I care?
