12th most wins in NFL history too. Numbers can say a lot of things depending on how you spin them.

Last decent year was 2008 when he went 13-3. Got beat by a 11-5 Baltimore. His last 7 years of coaching he was 45-63. Let’s dive deeper. Here are his teams offensive rankings since 2004.
2004- 11
2005- 17
2006- 27
2007- 21
2008- 21
2009- 12
2010- 27
2011- 31
2012- 23
2013- 30
2014- 28
2015- 32

Please explain what these numbers tell you.

I’m confused as to how people literally forget that every player/recruit rumored as to being involved there was bragging on here about moves he was making with them.... people are blind.
I might be wrong, but I believe it was what has been called "messy" mistakes in the recruiting office not the fact that Tennessee was doing exactly what AL, GA, etc. were and are doing.

Pruitt needed to be gone and Phil as well. They got it right today. NCAA coming into this and us blind would’ve got us scorched earth. Appreciate those like AV that give a damn about Tennessee. Fulmer was sucking the tit dry and I like him. But it was time for the failed AD and coach to leave. For once in years I saw competence. She said the right things and now we get a coach and let it play out. Quit being a baby. You’re better than that.

The point is we all wanted change but some feel there was a better way such and just pay the buyout quit being cheap and walk way from this mess. Now we will end up paying the same damn thing or more anyway in legal fees and things will be even worse off. I just have a problem when someone brags about throwing bags around and getting hands dirty when things are going well and how he was happy Pruitt and Fulmer did things different as recent as our hot recruiting run in summer then as soon as he is tired of them he changes tune and suddenly hates them and thinks it’s ok to sell them out and bringing players and program down with it. Maybe he didn’t but he sure posted that he did. It’s not a coincidence with Washington/Mims recruitments and others as to how that info got to chancellors desk. I’m sure a staffer did the deed of putting a report on a desk but boosters provided the info in it

No one was complaining about the cheating or how Pruitt treated support staff while we were on the heater win streak last year. Bit of adversity hits and now everyone tries to pile on. That’s why the self righteous sermon this morning didn’t sit right. No one at that table had clean hands.
Bit of adversity? Seriously? 3 and 7 is not a bit of adversity. Level 1 and level 2 are not a bit of adversity. Revolving coaches are not a bit of adversity. Bad reputation in athletic department and academic side is not a bit of adversity.

Everyone is messy just not everyone willing to burn down the place to get what they want by pointing the top dog where to look. Once you put it in their face they can’t ignore and say they didn’t see it. Out of sight out of mind until someone puts a pile of shiz on your desk

Well he didn't even coach in 2011.. so not sure where you got that number from, but lets dive deeper.

The Rams in 2011 were 2-14, Fisher takes over in 2012 and immediately goes 7-8-1.

Between 2007-2011 the Rams went 15-65. Fisher takes over and from 2012-2016 goes 27-36-1, yes not world beater, but I think that's a clear sign of a good coach to take that record and improve it to what he did.

2011 Rams offense 12.1 PPG
2012 Rams offense 18.7
2013 Rams offense 21.8

That's improvement. Granted his offense does drop in 2013 & 2014, but never easy to lose your starting QB during the season in 2013 and then before the season in 2014 and then expect the offense to perform to expectations.

I know very little, but the way I read the sequence of events was things were going well during the summer. Then the season began and to keep the recruiting class together, Pruitt had to win or at least show progress. Fail. Then the 2 sides were back at war. One wanting to fire the coach and go after a good coach while the roster was still good for once. The other side wanting two more years and hiring a new support staff. Fans agreed with the first side. Then someone let something out to cause an investigation...seems to be by mistake. At this point Fulmer and his side dug in which would cause frustration for anyone wanting to overcome this disaster.

My thoughts on Kiffin. Lane loved it here, and then he got a job offer from his dream job. He was torn, Layla wasn’t, she wanted to be back in LA. He took the job and became public enemy number 1.

Time went on, things didn’t go well, and Lane realized something he could never go back to. USC wasn’t his dream job, Tennessee was. From the fans, to the SEC, to beating Saben. It offered everything he loved and he screwed it up. You can tell on Twitter, he would recruit at a stupid level here and win at an even higher level.

I think Lane want nothing more then to right the ship here. This is his destination job. This is what he views as home.

Bring Lane Home!

Realistically there’s zero chance Kiffin ever gets hired again here. Burned too many bridges. Freeze isn’t happening either. Too much baggage. Chadwell also has some issues with violations in the past. None of those guys would be possible.

Chadwell was cleared of the stuff at Charleston Southern. It was compliance department issue that effected 6 sports.

Are you really buying this load of horsecrap? They are going to destroy Tennessee football for good.
Will you calm down. Let's see who they hire for AD, go from there. No need to get yourself worked up just yet. If they hire an Ingram, or a Gilbert, or a Blackburn, then that's a great step in the direction away from destruction.

Kiffin has reached out. Yes there is a chance.

The stats prove he is not good. And he got progressively worse as time went on. Why is that so hard to understand?
