Fire him for performance then.
If you are willing to turn a blind eye as long as we are successful, so much for the integrity you just preached about. She just cut off our nose to spite our face.
She had to. That's what you have to do when you are running an investigation, especially when you are intending to use it to fire the coach. Having the NCAA involved along the way gets you the most lenient treatment.
We should know the answer to that already. We don't need any more evidence to know what is going to happen and how it will work out. The NCAA has shown us time and time again the path we should have taken.Today has been a whirlwind, but after taking a moment to reflect it is quite stunning what we actually just admitted to in a press conference. Plowman and Boyd were very blunt about the severity of the offenses and what this might mean for the program. Meanwhile, Kansas and LSU have hard evidence of their head basketball coaches paying players, they deny, deny, deny, and nothing happens to them.
I wonder if the NCAA shows us some grace for self reporting AND firing the offenders. If not, and we are hammered, this should serve as a shining example to all other universities to continue giving the NCAA the middle finger and never comply.
