She’s going to turn this place into a Christian school by the sound of it.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

No, she’s not. If Pruitt had won at a high level, things would have worked out. No one wants sanctions, but you also can’t be stupid as coaches. She is also putting on a show to assist in the firing for cause.

NCAA is gonna bend us over. Just watch.

If Mims really was part of all this, we absolutely need to drag UGA with us.

I honestly doubt anything significant happens. We are not getting the death penalty, and there will be no show causes for coaches because we fired everybody. Bowl ban next year is toothless because we probably were not going bowling anyway. Scholarship reductions would be the biggest hit, but I doubt it will be that bad.

At the end of the day we were proactive by firing the offending parties. If we add a self-imposed bowl ban and a few scholarships we should be fine.

If we think the NCAA is going to go harder than that, then we should lawyer up and tell them to bring it.

Bethany Gunn and Pruitt did nothing new that isn’t being done at Auburn, Alabama, Georgia etc.

Difference is Tennessee self reports, and burns the house down.

Which is why we’ll never contend in the SEC again.
I think the big difference is we had a 3-7 coach who clearly wasn't the guy, and at those places they have good coach.

Today has been a whirlwind, but after taking a moment to reflect it is quite stunning what we actually just admitted to in a press conference. Plowman and Boyd were very blunt about the severity of the offenses and what this might mean for the program. Meanwhile, Kansas and LSU have hard evidence of their head basketball coaches paying players, they deny, deny, deny, and nothing happens to them.

I wonder if the NCAA shows us some grace for self reporting AND firing the offenders. If not, and we are hammered, this should serve as a shining example to all other universities to continue giving the NCAA the middle finger and never comply.

This is the preserve Fulmer legacy press conference. I guess we will never know exactly how involved he is in Pruitt’s failure at UT, but we do know that the greatest mistake in all of this was hiring him as AD.

Fire him for performance then.

If you are willing to turn a blind eye as long as we are successful, so much for the integrity you just preached about. She just cut off our nose to spite our face.
