Yes that's it. All around that area on private land there are burials on rock bluffs, have you been there? The remnants of the mound and city are really impressive once they point it out, not really easy to see the extent at first.

While y'all are out digging up stuff you think you could dig us up a football coach?

I really don't care anymore I've resigned myself to knowing that the Vols are are going to suck for the foreseeable future regardless of whether we keep Pruitt or fire him. The university will not hire a coach that will bring us back with any expediancy if at all. If you keep him half the players leave. If you fire him half the players leave. It really doesnt matter and im not even upset about it. We'll trot out a team of volunteers next fall. That likely get shelacked in every meaningful game. Then basketball will start and I'll forget there is a sport called football.

I have and the toxic atmosphere shown from many fans is very much one of those things

There were quite a few threads on the Clemson board after they lost to OSU saying Venables should be canned. Living in GA and having lots of friends that are UGA fans they turn on Kirby everytime they lose a big game about how he can't win the big ones. Every fanbase is the same. Read the UF message boards, they almost universally hate Mullen.

We are more toxic because we are losing. The atmosphere snowballs when you lose and creates a situation that is harder for kids to want to be apart of.

It’s not that we are much different than other fan bases but it’s that we are losing and the noice is louder.

just think about how this board is tor a few days after a loss even in good years. When you lose the noice is loud and when you lose a lot it’s overbearing

Then it’s on the UT admin to finally fix this thing and shut us up. If they don’t get their act together, the noise is just gonna get louder until it stops altogether because there’s nobody there to watch anymore. All of this is self-inflicted, and you can’t blame a single bit of it on the fans.

I agree it’s up to the AD, players and coaches to fix things more than the fans but the fans need to help not hurt. At this point the fans are hurting

every single fan base has idiots that complain on social media. Some more than others

When a program is a winning program those idiots aren’t taken seriously, it’s easy to dismiss their opinions and their noise isn’t loud and certainly not often

when a program losses there a more making the noise and much more often.

Absolutely not. We lose a recruiting class, a year of development, and prolongs the rebuild. Absolutely no way anyone should want to keep Pruitt at this point.

There is no way he should want to stay. The way this was handled should be a big neon sign saying we don't want you to him . If he is smart and that is debatable he should settle. If he gets a show cause he should have plenty of cash to ride it out.

I believe if he had a good season the university would have protected him. You don't protect a 3-7 coach in his third year that put such a poor product on the field. Still baffles me why they extended him if he is such a difficult person behind the scenes.

Spot on correct. It is the football program's fault. Their job is to win. The fans perform at a high level, every single year.

This is basically how I feel.

We are not what we used to be - and indecision and turmoil will not allow us to get back. We can be successful again, but it will be in spite of ourselves.

60/40 he’s fired for me
