Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

It wouldn't surprise me at all if every president going forward is impeached should they not control the house. The Dems penchant for pettiness has opened a can of worms that will bite them in the azz.

They always set a precedent and then act surprised when it is used against them.

Bill Clinton was impeached for stuff that didn't really matter in the scheme of things, and nobody got impeached after him until Trump.

This country is a totally different place now then when Clinton was impeached. Like stated earlier I think every president going forward will be impeached if the other side holds the house.

First of all, this is the typical deflection that had caused bad politics.

Drumpf asked to be the President of The United States. He must act like the president and be held accountable for his actions. No evidence of mass scale voter fraud, anywhere. Yet, at the very least says to interrupt a federal election. He is responsible for people storming the Capitol. Did he specifically say to kill people? Not in the exact words but to not take the context here is tone deaf.
And Maxine Waters? Is she guilty?

Biden was admittedly not my first choice as I voted for Mayor Pete in the primary, but ideologically I have no issues w/ Biden's platform and agenda. And anyone is better than Trump. Another 4 years of him could have led to complete chaos in this country, if we're not already there.

What jurisdiction does the Senate have when Trump is out of office and Biden has been sworn in? I am of the belief there will be no trial.
U.S. Senate: War Secretary's Impeachment Trial

On March 2, 1876, just minutes before the House of Representatives was scheduled to vote on articles of impeachment, Belknap raced to the White House, handed Grant his resignation, and burst into tears.

This failed to stop the House. Later that day, members voted unanimously to send the Senate five articles of impeachment, charging Belknap with “criminally disregarding his duty as Secretary of War and basely prostituting his high office to his lust for private gain.”

The Senate convened its trial in early April, with Belknap present, after agreeing that it retained impeachment jurisdiction over former government officials. During May, the Senate heard more than 40 witnesses, as House managers argued that Belknap should not be allowed to escape from justice simply by resigning his office.

Do you agree Dems had a hand in that chaos as well?
Maybe a small hand. I have been saying that Dems need to change leadership at the top for a long time as Schumer and especially Pelosi have outlived most of their usefulness in Washington and just cause the Trumpers to get more angry. However, at this point, DC is such a mess I'm not sure it matters whose in charge, although I think it was critical for the safety of the country that Trump lose as he poses a danger to America both domestically and abroad.
