Amateur Hour Continues

It's disgusting to see a career officer go political while in uniform. But that's what senior officers are, politicians/bureaucrats in uniform.

He probably expects another officer purge like when Obama took office and is covering his azz.
The entire JCS signed off on it because there just so happens to be right wing extremist problem in the military and there was no purge when Obama was President, that’s another conspiracy theory. There was a GOs watching child porn on government computers, doing cocaine, smoking meth, raping junior enlisted members and having sex with the wives of junior enlisted members while they were deployed problem and they got fired for it.

Obama's Military Coup Purges 197 Officers In Five Years

If there is a right wing extremist problem in the military its due to a piss poor officer corp.

1. You posted an editorial. And you post it every 6 months and it’s wrong everytime.
2. Nearly a quarter of the GOs and officers that keep getting listed in these dumbass articles were relived for cause related the the “Fat Leonard” Scandal. The rest were dismissed for conduct unbecoming, sexual assault, sexual harassment, misconduct, corruption, making racial slurs in public, public intoxication, having child pornography.

For example, Major General Michael Carey was relieved for drunken bender," fraternized with local women in Moscow.

Vice Admiral Tim Giardina was relieved after he was convicted of a felony in Iowa.

Lieutenant General David Holmes Huntoon, Jr. was relieved for misused his position and forced subordinate officers to perform personal tasks.

Major General C.M.M. Gurganus was fired after the Taliban attack in Camp Bastion after the investigation revealed that he and Major General Gregg A. Sturdevant had not taken adequate force protection measures" at Camp Bastion, which led to the death of two Marines and the destruction of six Harrier jet fighters.

Major General Ralph Baker was relieved for alcohol abuse and sexual misconduct charges.

Brigadier General Bryan Robert was relieved for committing adultery and a physical altercation with a woman described as his mistress.

I could continue to prove how wrong you are but my thumbs are tired from typing. And this list doesn’t even include the Fat Leonard officers.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an official military memo that wasn’t dated. @Grand Vol what do you think

No, this is to widespread to not be legit. I've seen some memos that weren't dated before, small time stuff, holiday wishes, things of a "really DGAF, but I'm signing this thing" kinda memos.

However, one has to read a bit deeper into it and ask yourself one simple question...

Why did they feel the need to put this out?

The legitimacy is not the question you need to ask. The question is "why."

@hog88

There's a difference in a policy memo (which it really isn't) and just a general memorandum that doesn't establish any formal orders, directives or policies. A policy memo has to be dated and, in the USAF at least, followed up by a regulation change within a specified period of time. That's a "rule" that tends not to be followed or wasn't while I was in and the memorandum is still in force if someone challenges it.

Because of this among other things.

All I know is that XVIII Airborne Corps commander has said he wants the names of every soldier who went to Washington on the 6th. He’s already gotten rid of the Holocaust 2nd Lieutenant.

And he had best not take any action against them if they were only in Washington for the rally.

You see, unlike you, I actually remember one can take place in political rallies as long as they don't use their military service to promote a particular candidate. If the good General even thinks of going after them just for attending, he'll face a far wider problem.
