Nonsense, Trump supporters will believe anything. Look no further than the tens of thousands that showed up in DC last week because they believed there was a rigged election when there is no proof of any such rigging. If that's not enough proof, look at the Q thread on this forum and see how many saps believe in that conspiracy theory.

The "why" they seceded doesn't matter. You would have an argument, and a good one if at anytime before he invaded Lincoln ever mentioned freeing the slaves.

You usually just like to stir the pot the get people to argue but I’m not so sure that’s your aim with this one. You just have serious issues to work out it seems and certainly have no room to say one word about Trump.

There was also not a law or ruling that allowed it. Legally speaking, you could say that every state entered into a contract when they ratified the constitution, so exiting said contract would also need to be approved by the other parties of the contract. Not to mention that, if seceding were actually permitted, all rights and privileges afforded to them from the constitution would be null and void.

With the absence of a law forbidding secession wouldn't that mean secession was permitted? The writers of constitution were extremely smart men, don't you think they would have included wording prohibiting a state from leaving the union if they intended for that to be illegal? What about West Virginia? It's existence violates Article IV Section III of the constitution so please don't try to excuse Lincoln's actions as an attempt to uphold the constitution.

And where did the confederate states ask for the rights and privileges of the constitution after they seceded?

"Rigged" isn't a term I would use. No one forced people to vote Trump or to not vote HRC in 2016. And no votes were changed or added to ensure a Trump victory.

But they did interfere with the email hacks and disinformation campaigns. What affect that interference had on the actual election is unknown. Again, HRC was a truly terrible and unlikable candidate.

Russia did in fact attempt to interfere in this election there are plenty of articles about it. Even some of Trump's closest allies admitted as much, though they were more concerned with Chinese inference than Russian.

No. At least not legally. Which is why there has been constant debate. The writers of the constitution left many things to be changed as needed (or ammendments). That's why so many things are considered implied. Once the states ratified it, they were legally obligated to adhere to the Constitution. It is implied that if you secede from the Union, you have broken that legal obligation.

If they wanted it to be so easy to exit the Union, why would they not have made a clear path to do so?

They overwhelmed the capitol police with no firearms.
They had the run of the capitol building and should have had no issue taking hostages or even killing scores of people. They did neither.
They took some stationary and left.
What an insurrection.
