Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

The country was fractured well before Trump even started his run for President. He never endangered our democracy in any way.

And yes Lincoln started the civil war.

Lincoln declared war after SC committed an act of war....

This country wasn't nearly as fractured 4 years ago as it is now. Trump has failed at every opportunity to unite the country and instead has fueled the fires of dissension, culminating in a seize on the capitol that he encouraged, whether directly or indirectly.

The country has been fractured since day one and it will always be fractured. The question is, do we work to make it as small and manageable as possible, or do we worsen the divide.
Trump was always about worsening the divide. Always - as the foundation of his whole political strategy and philosophy.

Yes it was...four years of the left calling the right the problem just brought out the closet decenters.

It was this fractured 4 years ago, that's why Trump was elected. The Dems and MSM ensured that it became more fractured over the past 4 years.

Not by accident but by design. Stone/Bannon

Yes. I'm a believer in judging historical figures by the era they lived in. Still, Jackson was the primary architect behind the genocide of thousands of Native Americans. He takes the cake.

Trump has fractured the nation and his conspiracy and insurrection attempts have endangered our democracy as we know it. He's absolutely number 2.

Also, Lincoln "starting the Civil War" is false.
Nixon didn’t make the list?

The way we reduce the fracture is to reduce the impact the federal government has on it's citizens lives. Reduce the size, scope and power of the federal government and you will close much of the fracture.

Like Biden calling the people in DC "Thugs"? Do you call that trying to "unify"?
It will get no better under any President until the "labels" are not thrown around with every sound bite.

Lincoln committed the first act of war when he didn't remove US Troops and then tried to resupply/reinforce them.

No. It was a US owned institution and the US didn't recognize the seceding states as a sovereign nation. And it was actually President Buchanan that refused to surrender federal forts to the seceding states. After Lincoln was inaugurated, he actually notified them that he was sending in supplies and SC attacked, believing it to be a trick.

Yet almost every Union fort was seized without single shot being fired except for Sumter because Lincoln ordered the commander to hold at all costs.

Biden will be infinitely better than Trump.

Trump was elected because HRC was an impossibly terrible candidate and due to some shady Russian shenanigans. He lost the popular vote in both elections and even failed to bring in even 45% of the popular vote in the 2016 Republican primary. He never even had an approval rating over 49% even once.
