If Chadwell won't accept having coaches forced on him, he will never get this job or a job like this.I mean, this is common sense.
If it is Chadwell, he won't come if you force a staff on him. He will want to choose and should be given that opportunity.
THe Steele talks to me are a bit more worrisome. There are only two logical reasons you talk to him:
1. You want him to be the Head Coach
2. You have decided Jeremy is staying and Ansley is leaving and you are talking to him about being a DC
He doesn't run it in a traditional way is the point. Someone had the offensive stats in here a few pages ago. They have basically equal rushing and passing yards. This isn't a traditional triple option offense. Paul Johnson only passed to surprise teams. CC passes the ball all over the field.
Why can’t fulmer just piss off?It feels like there’s two scenarios right now for the replacement. Fulmer gets his way - Marrone as HC with Steele as DC and Garner as DL coach. If others get their way - Chadwell is the new HC and he brings his own staff and maybe Steele sticks around as an analyst since he’s being paid very well by Auburn to leave.
My $ has always been on Marrone. I agree with Basilio. Tennessee needs experienced and adult. Someone who can deal with all the clutter without being intimidated. It feels like there’s two scenarios right now for the replacement. Who was forced onto Pruitts original staff? Absolutely nobody that’s who. He showed up with a list of guys that were willing to work for him and THAT was a big reason Fulmer hired him.If Chadwell won't accept having coaches forced on him, he will never get this job or a job like this.
He can't show up to this job or a job like this and bring his Coastal Carolina staff. No one will go for that.
