The more I think about it, the more I'm not diggin' a Chadwell hire. Better than Pruitt obviously, but I'd rather us go in another direction

Five things to know about Jamey Chadwell

Down on the farm, Tennessee roots
Chadwell grew up on a farm in Caryville, Tennessee, a town of 2,165 people located 30 miles north of Knoxville. According to a 2016 story by the Post and Courier, Chadwell baled hay, shucked corn and helped out with animals on the farm that included cattle, chicken and pigs.
Chadwell was a big Tennessee Vols fan growing up and went to several games with his father, Jim, a former middle school and high school head football coach in Tennessee. Jamey Chadwell named his son Jameson Heath after former Vols and NFL quarterback Heath Shuler, who later served as a state representative in North Carolina.

If Chadwell were to be selected as the HC, the Steele whispers going around could be as his DC. To get the job he would be willing to put up with the dysfunction since he knows what it is all about anyway having grown up here. They could pay more for Steele since Chadwell and other staff would cost less. Let Steele finish out his career here and rebuild the mess Jeremy has made of the D. He will be 63 years old soon and nobody is beating his door down to be a HC except for Fulmer who will be 73 years old and probably out of the AD role before we would know if Chadwell succeeded or failed.

Just a WAG.

Chadwell could be a good hire. 11 years head coaching experience and he's an offensive coach. He's not an SEC boy but he's got geographic ties. Wonder how well he would recruit the Carolinas and Georgia. Plus, he's young and looks cool. Pruitt looks decidedly uncool, so it would be refreshing to have a head coach who doesn't have a conehead and a permanently arched eyebrow like he just smelled a stout fart.

"But...but..but irrational fanbase expectations are not a problem"...😏
Coaches are not afraid of coming to UT. Facilities and fan support are great, but firing Butch hurt our brand and the hiring process after Butch hurt us even more. Coaches enjoy a challenge, but admin hurdles and unreasonable fan bases are just headaches.

South Carolina fans are talking like Hyatt is going to enter the portal soon.
Damn...the talent on this team is going to completely gutted soon 😔 We are basically giving ourself the death penalty. 🥺

Whoever takes this job, we are going to have to back the hell off for a few years.
