No but something has to be done to address driver shortages and platooning tests are going on every day near here. Don't have to eliminate but could give one driver control of multiple loads

Wouldn’t matter. If the divisiveness was bad enough the over road truckers would wreck the automated trucking. Hell if it’s bad enough many parties would interdict them.

Cant automate distribution for what isn’t delivered to distribute. And any automation on the interstates would be sabotaged

Truck drivers have to drive to make money, correct? So are they finding new careers or what? You dont get unemployment for quitting. The company would simply hire more truck drivers. Thats a decent paying job and those don't come around much these days.
