Exactly. His good season. There was 1 of them. I mean if you want to be decent and win 7-8 games a year then sure. I want someone who has the potential to do better. He does not. He’s been a decent to bad coach for 7 straight years. His best team was the one he didn’t recruit. He would be a C hire. Just because we have been bad doesn’t mean I want to just be decent. Also I definitely don’t want the guy who lost to Pruitt and JG.

Yep..my in-laws all live up in Marshall county on Sand mountain and are Barners...I have watched sooo many games in the last eight years with them cussing Gus while pulling out their hair to ever be ok with hiring him.

That was 7 years ago though and he hasn't approached it again. I know luck is always involved in a good season, but he easily could had lost 4 or more that year too. They hit that hail Mary vs UGA and had the kick six vs Bama. That wasn't a great team either. That prayer vs UGA is one of his only 2 wins vs them.

Well the best candidates we don’t have the balls or desire to hire them. Fickell and Campbell should have to tell you no after you dump money on the lawn. Freeze would do great. Herman or Napier would be as low as I’d go. They both have higher ceilings than Gus. Herman has about the same floor.
