Recorded the B Ball game earlier cause its so much more fun to go through commercials. LOL Great road win for our Vols. The announcers were horrible as usual. Do you guys remember the statement from I am thinking Dykes when he said in the later part of the second half, he said, The Vols won't score 10 points the rest of the game and will not hit 70. Right after he said that Fulky got 2, i think its was scooby got a three right after that. They not only score more than 10 points, they went over the 70 mark but he never said a word about it of course.

In case you missed it on the sports source Jimmy Hyams said he thinks Pruitt doesn’t survive and that Fulmer is having second thoughts about backing Pruitt. Pennington thinks we hire Bill O’Brien. Jimmy thinks Chadwell

Hyams also said those at the top said no to Freeze.

Not just you but what does everyone have against Chadwell

I was on the fence about it. I guess I am just more conservative and Chadwell feels like more of a roll of the dice. If we are going to be under NCAA penalty next year and we can't get Napier or Herman, and we won't hire Freeze (assume our infraction has to do with Ladies of the Night). Tier 2 has to be Gus, who I was initially very interested in, but have since cooled, especially since it seems Steele was propping him up the past few years. Honestly I would look around and see if there is a "disgrunted" P5 coach we might woo...Neal Brown, Bronco Mindenhall. Or maybe go after Bill Clark, or Doc Holiday before Chadwell. I just think there are better resumes out there, like BOB. UT needs a proven HC. Chadwell may just be a flash in the pan. If we can't even get a Bill Clark or Doc Holiday, then I would rather give a Tee an interim year, assuming you can hire Steele, keep Chaney and Weinke...maybe Ty Simpson still signs. If Tee doesn't get you to .500, then hire a "Napier" coach next cycle.

I think the level of hire we can get really just depends on the level of the NCAA stuff.
1 yr bowl ban, you can cross off Napier and Freeze off (even though I think he'd be the best option if we are just talking football)
I like the idea of Gus, but I also like hiring Kevin Steele as DC (so that is a no to Gus)
Bill O'Brien would be a better hire and you could pair him Steele + he's (O'Brien) coached 10 yrs in ACC prior to Pats and PSU. Guided PSU through the scandal. Made Hackenberg look decent.
Chadwell--honestly, I think I might rather have Tee with Chaney + Steele.

All of this conjecture assume Ansley is gone and we can get Steele as DC.

A bowl ban won’t stop a coach. What bowl would you expect us to be in next year? Not a good one even if we made one at all. Scholarship reductions would be the one that hurts.

Bc of the violations..... they were very extensive..... if he has gotten better at it he will be a good coach.
