Hear me out ....I'm just spitballing here....what if we fired Pruitt and hired someone with a pulse.

If we fire Pruitt, and don't hire freeze.... in 2-3 years , when he is killing it at big time school. It will be the typical vols "if only we had just hired him when we had the chance"

They will schedule him and he will boat race us with a lesser team.

In case you missed it on the sports source Jimmy Hyams said he thinks Pruitt doesn’t survive and that Fulmer is having second thoughts about backing Pruitt. Pennington thinks we hire Bill O’Brien. Jimmy thinks Chadwell

Hyams also said those at the top said no to Freeze.

Hopefully BOB goes to Bama as OC

Unrealistic. We would never do this. Have you really thought through all the benefits of guys with no pulse yet? We've got a few more days to talk about them.

I know some yall don't like Trey Wallace, but he just said Pruitt is down 24-7 with 10 minutes left in the 4th. With his QB management skills, thats a wrap.

Also said that other schools are using their student athletes to reach out to our players. Obviously the good ones. Thats why you hear Cole Cubelic mentioning Wanya to Oklahoma and some west coast schools reaching out to Henry T.

Pubelick is saying exact same thing Braj said weeks ago, in reverse. If this was bball, pretty sure all 170 lbs of Brent Hubbs is hangin' on rim.

Still need end of season results that match up with the salary to be honest, but he’s definitely built the right culture and this is a team you can 100% get behind for that reason. I’d rather slightly overpay for that than the result we’ve been getting from football, though.

I think the level of hire we can get really just depends on the level of the NCAA stuff.
1 yr bowl ban, you can cross off Napier and Freeze off (even though I think he'd be the best option if we are just talking football)
I like the idea of Gus, but I also like hiring Kevin Steele as DC (so that is a no to Gus)
Bill O'Brien would be a better hire and you could pair him Steele + he's (O'Brien) coached 10 yrs in ACC prior to Pats and PSU. Guided PSU through the scandal. Made Hackenberg look decent.
Chadwell--honestly, I think I might rather have Tee with Chaney + Steele.

All of this conjecture assume Ansley is gone and we can get Steele as DC.

I think Freeze would come here regardless. The problem is UT is too incompetent to even pick up the phone and call. We can’t get out of our own idiotic way.

The AD is not cheap on hires. That’s one of the biggest falsehoods out there about this AD. Look at the money they’ve shelled out for coaches over the past ten years.

I agree..... that is how Clemson built their team as well..... the problem is that no one has the patience for that.

He was +300 points his first 3 seasons. Lemme know what Pruitt is

Barnes took a team with ZERO top 100 players and was #1 for a month. Good god man.

We are MORE than happy to let a coach with continuous progress to go 4,5,6 years. That doesn't mean we should accept a bum with 6 straight double digit losses.
