LOL. Freeze is not an obvious choice because of his prior history and the appearance of hiring a coach like this for a team that is being investigated for NCAA violations. That is delusional to even consider. Every sane fan and sports pundit has talked about this.

It's an obvious choice in terms of a winning coach who wants to be here (reportedly). Is it realistic? No, we won't hire anyone who would be considered a risk in that regards. Appearances don't mean what they used to, if they did LSU wouldn't be employing Will Wade (and Auburn wouldn't have Bruce Pearl). For the time being I would prefer to have hope we won't screw this up (is that delusional? Yeah it probably is) but it's better than resigning myself to the facts that we're going to either keep Pruitt or hire another guy who's in over his head.

I stand by the prior post. It is delusional and a waste of brain resources to spend 1second thinking either Freeze or Kiffin will be the HC @ UT. Just trying to help you out there fellow Vol fan.
