Bama will make Dabo an offer he can’t refuse.

I don’t see their administration laying down after Saban retires.
I doubt it even comes to that.

When great coaches retire, there is almost always an assistant that gets promoted and they try to keep on rolling.

Bama most likely promotes an assistant and attempts to keep going on its own momentum.

On VQ there’s a thread discussing SC forums speculating making a play for AJ Artis. Some of our posters would be overjoyed. 😏

I love Coach Fulmer, and always will. Anyone who tries to reduce his legacy as a Vol For Life, are some of the biggest fools in the room. What he meant as a player and a coach are only topped by Robert Neyland and Pat Summitt.

For those who try and tarnish his legacy as a coach by salivating over Steve Spurrier...yes, Fulmer only beat him and UF twice; but, only Bobby Bowden and Tom Osborne were the only ones to do it a couple or three times, as well.

Now, Fulmer the AD. I was happy as hell whenever he was hired. I was wrong. In my defense, I think I'd been happy with Donald Duck over John Currie.

If all of this is true, David Blackburn should be hired this afternoon. Shouldve been hired long ago.
Mark Ingram’s my hope. Much better resume and experience and also a VFL.

That's an understatement. A really underrated thing about Bowden's legacy is that he went 8-5-1 against Spurrier. Given how evenly-matched those in-state programs always appeared to be, 8 wins in 14 tries in really good.

Spurrier was great at UF, but Bobby got the better of him.

Thought they played with eleven?
Well yes, I’m saying if most the team is hopping in. Fights in soccer don’t happen that often. Most shoving matches. But when one does break out, it is either contained to the two or everyone gets involved. No real in between.

I still can’t get over a certain someone trying to fight, then admitting to being a soccer player. Bet they hit harder than you in SERE.
Guy is a real wuss. Probably would have won. But best not to give said poster any attention. He’s an idiot and soccer wussy. And it wasn’t a good day for said poster.... his b.....

Fulmer won a national championship. I’d say he was the best candidate for the job.

If you haven’t noticed, those aren’t easy to win. Picking a coach isn’t easy either apparently. See the last 12 years of UT football.
I was a big Fulmer guy but anyone can look at his record with and without Cutt and see the difference. Look what he's done with Duke, Duke was possibly the worst program in the NCAA, yes, worse than Vandy, and he took them to a conference championship game in a power 5 conference. He is a GREAT head coach, he just hasn't coached at a big university because he is loyal to those that have helped him succeed.

Vitello is the best coach on campus in any sport, with the highest ceiling.

If UT will support him, we’ll be in Omaha few times a decade.
I think Coach Webb is in that same category. He just signed a guy from Canada that has a win on the Canadian PGA Tour. The golf team is loaded with talent and the sky is the limit for them.

Lol y’all think Clemson just goes away. Smh.
If Dabo leaves then um.. yeah.

Clemson isn’t a place that even looks at big name coaches. They hit the jackpot with Dabo, chances are Venables or Tony Elliott would get the job if he leaves for Alabama. I wouldn’t expect either of those guys to match what he’s done at all

Again, Fulmer’s record without Cut was 61-26. That’s pretty alright.

If it’s Marrone or Pruitt, I’m done.

Imagine it. Its 630PM January 9th, 2021. Pruitt gets fired & there is an energy in the air. An energy we haven't seen in a while because of the possibility of bringing in a Lane Kiffin or Hugh Freeze to come in, score some points and win games. Established coaches who have won in the SEC who have a passion, a fire for this league. But then? Leaks begin to trickle out. Jimmy Hyams reports Bill Bellicheck has accepted an offer, Austin Price is seen screaming at fans on VolQuest and Rob Lewis is recording a podcast with Kermit the Frog talking about how COVID-19 is a hoax. Something isn't right....

Then! A tweet from the official Vol Football account pops up, Welcome To Rocky Top! We scroll to see Douglas "1-15" Marrone is announced as our coach. His introductory press conference is quiet, he mentions how his BLISTERING .388 winning percentage as a HC will be an asset for 4 star recruits, of which only ONE has ever played for him. The 64 year old posters on VN erupt in joy as they twist themselves into believing a man who barely won at Syracuse in the Big East can now lead Rocky Top to beating Alabama! The administration laughs, Brent Hubbs collects another $9.95, and in 2021 we beat Vanderbilt on a last second hail mary, cherishing our newly dominant program after a 2-10 finish.

Yep. And I bet Venables would turn it down and just want to stay on as the new coach's DC. They are really unique relative to other big time programs because they are new money.
