good read. Ed O is the epitome of what Pruitt Needs to be if he gets another crack at being a head coach. He’s willing to listen to other people and take chances with unproven minds and letting them do their thing.

If he won't now, then he never will... I just can't believe JP would all of a sudden change his mindset and tune... no way..

Hugh Freeze would be the easiest hire we could make.

I am not convinced he is anything but an average coach. He is def a cheater. But, app so is current HC. So, cant really judge there.

His track record at Liberty is hard to deny.

I don’t have a disdain for Phillip. He is a friend (off the field) and was a hell of a football coach and did wonderful things for the program and the university in the hey day. But just because of that doesn’t give him a pass to do the things he has since becoming the AD. PERIOD.

Behind closed doors he has done more damage to the football program since he departed than any single person in the history of the program. If you ask any current coach who has been there since he has been AD in a closed room setting you would be astonished to hear the meddling and the toxic environment he has created. Trust me here...as more and more of this staff leave the more and more dirt will come out publicly about him and it will be a real bad look for him and the university for allowing it to happen.

There is a reason why you have a large conglomerate of very high profile boosters who have demanded him ride off into the sunset...guess we will see what happens.

We need to clean house and bring Mark Ingram home. Let him find a coach and right this ship.

you could argue that we're setting the table for that happen........we're approaching "you don't have a choice" territory.........lol.

If UT will support him, we’ll be in Omaha few times a decade.

We’re building a brand new shared baseball stadium downtown that they will be playing in soon.... on top of already getting a 1.5 million dollar new artificial turf surface. Vitello is getting all the support he needs

I just can't see JP hanging on... he was supposed to have a "plan" and make all these new hires... that was, I assume, part of the plan... yet nothing's been done, and no one has been hired... meanwhile guys like Mason and Yurchich are being scooped up... no one worth a 'ish will be left... So we will get another year of JP and his pathetic posse made up of nobody's... cool.

Isn’t hard to recruit at Tennessee. If you’re a halfway decent recruiter you can pull a top 15 class here rather easily.

That is another way to put it. I think Pruitt gives him some info and he feels obligated to continue to support him. Symbiosis, or some such something.

I just don't think that's true.

AP likes Pruitt. AP has always liked Pruitt.

I don't think Pruitt has any sort of special relationship with AP at all. I don't even think it has ever crossed Pruitt's mind that having allies in the media is strategically a good idea.

I would hazard a guess that Pruitt has never once shared information with the media in exchange for good favor.

UT has freezed staff hiring.... ESPN dropped that article two days ago
