"Legit AD" that:

Extended a coach that lost to GA ST and BYU...BEFORE the season (lmfao amateur hour)

Was willing to let Barnes go

Handled the covid salary cutbacks terribly.

His top 3 choices for HC in an extraordinary era of modern offensive football: 3 SEC DCs...smdh

I truly like Fulmer and always will, but he's an awful AD.
No one had a problem with Pruitt being extended before the season. Especially coming off a six game win streak and closing off a strong recruiting class. He was not willing to let Barnes go. Fulmer wanted to keep Barnes, and worked with Boyd to make sure Rick got what he wanted. The Covid salary cutbacks is nit picky on your part. Given the situation he inherited when he took over, no one was going to take this job who was reputable after that tire fire of a coaching search than Currie conducted. Just about everyone on this board and throughout the country thought Fulmer nailed the hire given the hand he was dealt.

Wrong. Plenty of people thought it was crazy. Now we know he also extended the buyout by doing so, which is insane based on the coach that lost to Georgia State in the same season of his 6 win high point. What you say after that is true. Which is why Fulmer would get a pass on that decision if he made the right one now.

It's not hard.

Revisionist history: no one thought Fulmer nailed the hire with Pruitt - good night

Fulmer was not willing to pay a basketball coach that much more than the football coach. It is not “bull”. You can thank Randy Boyd and some boosters for keeping Barnes. Fulmer didn’t even bother to go to Barnes’ coach of the year ceremony.
Fiction...stuff that gets made up to fit narratives. Fulmer isn’t on my birthday wish list either but people? Quit making **** up! If Fulmer doesn’t go to Boyd to help scrounge up the money, it doesn’t get done! When there was a bunch of reds bisching about the price tag? Fulmer got top billing. Now that it’s viewed as worthy he doesn’t even get in the credits. 😅

I don't think what you say is a revelation of who you are. It can be...sometimes, but sometimes we all say things we don't really mean. I don't think a professor or a coach ir anybody should be fired for an offhanded comment where no one with any sense was hurt.

That guy should not have been fired for that comment...period.

We all say dumb stuff, but sometimes it really is a revelation.

Tee wouldn't be as bad as some think, especially as a walk around HC. He can fundraise and do the thing with the boosters while letting his OC and DC coach. May need to upgrade over Chaney, but Steele would be fine being HC of the defense. Most HC's are only as good as their assistants anyways so a figurehead who can play the game isn't a bad idea anyways.

Plus if anything comes of this investigation it won't really matter who the coach is next year. Giving Tee a one year trial run when TN is facing sanctions isn't a bad idea. Pretty much every guy that has been named on this board will be there next year, so is there really any hurry?
