Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

If you are a fan of old time basketball and football, see if you can answer this question. In one of the Final Fours that I attended there was a starting guard for one of the teams. He is still, and probably always will be, the only athlete ever to win a Heisman in football, and start in a Final Four basketball game. He was a lefty. Any idea who he is?
I have a guess.....early 90’s😎
 
I went to Houston in '78 to see UT in the Bluebonnet Bowl. They were playing that song every 5 minutes.
I remember you posting that last year.

it was mid ‘79 the first time I moved to Texas. Lived a half hour from Galveston for 5 years and that was during the Earl Campbell and Bum Phillips years.

I always liked what Bum said about coaching against Don Shula. He said that Shula "could take his'n ( players) and beat your'n, or take your'n and beat his'n."
