For those of you that think all of this will be better for us in the long run as long as Pruitt is let go, have very short memories. This is Tennessee. We are not going to get a slap on the wrist. The NCAA will bring their big hammers against us to show Alabama, Georgia and Florida just how serious they are about compliance.

Just a few days ago you were laughing at everyone and being smug about "what made everyone accept the inevitable?" when we all felt like Pruitt was coming back.

I have no doubts you are well-sourced and in a position where you get legitimate information, however, you have bounced around as much as anyone else.

Hahaha, from someone who has certainly "bounced around."

Rando poster on VQ:

Said that the reason for the investigation was not anyone upset or a whistleblower. Said it was a player that made a dumb mistake and caused it. Said it was a player with many dumb tweets over the last month and played like a JV player when given an opportunity. Just assume they meant Mauer

Definitely a Florida guy👀😂😅

Hopefully, the only Arch that Kiffin will have in 2023 is the brand new one at the McD's he is assistant manager at.

Inappropriate "maybe". . . .

Yea sure it’s inappropriate

The “maybe” was referring to the question of should a demeaning inappropriate tweet directed at a controversial political figure be a fireable offense. If it is there would a lot of people without jobs these days.

If I know UT like I think I do, Gus and Marrone will be the top candidates. Both will be hard to get deals done with for a myriad of reasons - but not impossible.

I tend to believe head coaching experience will be prioritized, but we don't *know* that to be the case until the job is open and people like Hubbs, Hyams, Feldman, etc. release their initial lists.

Given that, I would imagine Napier and Herman are in the next tier and someone like Chadwell is further down the list.

If you get past them, all bets are off. I'd guess it ends up like Auburn in which you pluck a coach that is unhappy at his current place.
