Obviously you are fashion challenged or color blind. Either way I will ask you to only campaign for orange pants with the white away jerseys and never see the all orange uniforms again. It's just tradition and good fashion sense.... :p

I may be mistaken, but weren't the white pants just introduced in the 70s. Prior to that (and at sometimes subsequent as well), we used orange pants for both home and away. So while I agree with you that fashion sense indicates no orange on orange, I think tradition might go the other way.

White pants with the orange jerseys go back to time immemorial. If I am wrong I welcome a well researched rebuttal. :p

If I were in the Tennessee marketing department, I'd consider sacrificing a timeout for some TV games just to get that orange out there.

I don't think the marketing department has much power when it comes to making a decision that could effect a football game.

I can see this going in one direction: do you like all orange uni's or do you not?

It's like UT's version of roe v wade.

I'm willing to admit defeat here. :salute: I have an autographed picture of Johnnie Jones back home of him wearing orange on orange, so I do believe that the ugly combination has been around for some time. However, I do remember my hundred years of volunteers cards from 89-90 which showed everyone from Johnny Majors to Roland James wearing orange and white.

Do you have the entire set of those? I collected them when I was a little kid, but I just bought packs of them instead of the full box set I guess, because I am missing 20-25 of the cards. I put them in a notebook with those plastic sheets for sports cards, so I know I probably didn't lose any of them.
