The NCAA announced today that all games in the 2021 tourny would be held in and around Indy.

I would suspect that using the bubble format will limit attendance to " official team parties"

If nothing else, this is an interesting idea they can try out. Maybe some in the NCAA office have wondered about having one city or state host the whole thing in an Olympics-style festival of sorts. I don't know that it's come up, but maybe it has. If it has, here's their chance to see how it goes.

this is cool... perfect time to IU to give the finger to the Big10 and move to some other conference.
Reading the recent words of their former AD, the Big10 leadership is worse than the SEC's.
What else would you expect from a conference that can't count

They’re probably last in line and those vaccinations are probably being distributed right around March Madness or just after.
The plan was to have most vaccines distributed in the March/April timeframe, but the plan hasn’t gone so well. My guess is that many collegiate athletes will still be unvaccinated.

I felt they should have done a bubble for each region close to the 1 seeds city and then the final 4 could be played in Indianapolis as scheduled. That way the 1 seeds could at least play closer to home throughout the regionals.

No, you don’t wish you’ve owned hotels ANYWHERE in the last 11 months. You would have lost millions of dollars.
Depends on which socialist state people are living in. I travel for work and hotels here have stayed busy. There was about 2 months where they weren't, but once the initial lockdown lifted they've been steady.

Wrong. Things picked up after a while but got nowhere near pre-pandemic levels.

Does Indiana have sports wagering? If so, spending the first weekend in Indy would be super awesome (if it weren't for COVID . . . )

Yes they do. Not sure if the in person sites are operating during Covid but isn’t most betting done online anyway?

Hinkle is a great place to watch basketball and the Fairgrounds is the original home of the Pacers. Great sites but I think attendance is extremely limited.
