Can't lie - part of me respects that. I'd love to think this situation lights a fire under him like nothing else and he does make the changes necessary to do well here. Unfortunately, his results so far speak for themselves, and they say it's almost a foregone conclusion that he won't.

is there another side to this that NONE of us are considering?

now, this would be the most un-Tennesseelike thing ever, but any chance the reason there's been nothing, is because there is nothing? and they're working behind the scenes to put together a truly top notch staff??? there are a lot of good coaches available right now that most anyone would like to have on their sidelines.

it would contradict a lot of the rumblings and go against what most of us believe about how Tennessee does things....

but to your point, even AP said it yesterday on the podcast, pruitt's working really hard on the 22 class, interviewing, looking at transfers etc.....

is there still a scenario that we do keep him and all our hand wringing is just that? i mean, for the most part, most of this, hell virtually all of it has been speculation from the get go. we've been in coach search mode since before the Vandy game....and coach still hasn't been fired.....?
