Ted Danson took Whoopi Goldberg to some gala in Hollywood dressed as a black face. Do you think that hurt his career? It only hurts a career if the media wants the career hurt. Same with fans.
i think hurts if it happens in 2019.

danson is also well renowned as a super nice guy. he's also sam malone in the media eyes

Whether he stays or goes, the most important thing now is for that decision to be made NOW. We're in a crucial time. Now is the time to recruit transfers and any unsigned high school kids. Uncertainty is our biggest enemy. They need to know whether Pruitt will be our coach or not. We're self-sabotaging by not making a firm decision and statement as to which direction our program is going in. Whatever the decision, fans will learn to live with it, just fawking make it.

Our players and parents are fully, openly supportive of CJP. The ones actually putting all the work in along with their futures in his leadership. A National Championship winning AD fully supports CJP. The fans and a couple of administrators not so much. Unless you find level 1’s wrap this up and give the man another year to do his job.
The same AD that made a terrible mistake and gave him a contract extension this year? And the millions of fans that have supported this program for decades don’t matter? But the parents, who care about their kids far more than the future of this program are all that matters? Piss off.

Those guys are Doeren or Schiano without the child rape stuff level..I was against a hire like that before and I am now.

We need a great hire, not a boring less than mediocre hire...all doing that will get us is right here again in three years after Coach Schlub goes 6-6 or worse for the third year in a row.

I hate to break it to you, but If Urban didn’t go to Texas for a gazillion dollars he sure as h377 ain’t stepping into this mess.

Year 4 to achieve some yet to-be-determined level of mediocrity? Nah. Will pass on that idiocy.

Jimmies and Joes. He's not getting enough of them in three recruiting cycles and the ones that are there are under developed and perform like crap against mediocre and better teams.

Assistant coaches. So another batch is going to do more with even less than all of the previous guys did? If they are lucky they won't get fired mid-season.

Investigation. Like it or not he's a coach with a to-be-determined cheating history now. Which means previous bag man operations are suspended.

Communications. Jeremy can't.

Academics. Academic side hates him.

Fan base. More polarization is just what Vol fans need.

TStud. You've failed to answer how we are going to rush the QB and play pass D. Especially after losing DJ and Bryce. Please enlighten us

I don't think losing DJ is that big a deal. Brooks and Young are both coming in and will see time at that position, and it wouldn't surprise me to see MoJo moved back there. It's not like DJ was a great pass rusher, we bitched the whole season about not having a great edge. I was more disappointed about losing Little Biscuit than I was DJ, but that was due to circumstances beyond Pruitt's control.

As far as CB, I'm praying for some good ones to hit the transfer market. We desperately need help at the position.

I don't disagree, but I also think this season doesn't reflect that attitude. We were horrible. We were beyond horrible. This isn't throwing a temper tantrum without reason. There's absolute reason to be mad at how bad we were, and how incompetently we were coached. And Pruitt hasn't even come close to really owning that. What I saw on that field this year was a total failure of coaching. With how much these guys get paid, accountability should be expected.
This is throwing a temper tantrum because Pruitt made the stupid decision to bet his career on JG and stuck so long with his useless buddy Friend at OL coach.

I understand why everybody is mad about that, but I absolutely refuse to believe this guy is a bad defensive coach. There has to be more to the regression on the defensive side than that. And there are many indicators of as to why..but people don't want to hear anything about reasons, they get mad and start screaming about "excuses".

Look...Pruitt brought a lot of this on himself...I know that, but I am just sick of this constant chaos. They need to fire Pruitt, he can't fix this now, then hire a good coach and hopefully someday this gets better.

I just do not want to be here again in 36 months..

If you just finished up your 3rd year with a 3-7 record at Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU are you going to be the coach there the following season? I'm sure those teams would like us to give him another year.

He’s failed the past three, what makes you think he’ll suddenly succeed in year 4?

I mean we're left with two options. 1) accepting that Pruitt is exactly the coach we saw in the Georgia State and BYU games (without any possible fallback Covid excuse - and that level of coaching is consistent with the clown shoes we saw on the field this year), or 2)we can hope that in year 4 he becomes a coach he has never shown an ability to be.

Why people take option 2 is beyond my ability to grasp.

Cool heads prevail. It’ll work if folks stay the course. Stability.
Stability? LOL how many assistants from year 1 are left? From year 2? How many that are left are coaching the same group and haven’t been shuffled around? Or fired 4 games in🤣🤣!
He hasn’t built anything, he just duct tapes Pieces together every year
