I get it man. We have to be careful about holding people's past sins against them. People sin, they do dumb things, I have certainly done those things. And now, with social media, some people are blackballed forever for it. That stuff has to stop, especially if the thing he did wasn't intended to harm. I have no idea about this Pugh guy, but we have to be careful with that kind of thing.

also, a Christian who sins isn't a hypocrite. The confession of the Christian is not that he is perfect. It that was his claim, then yes he would not only be a hypocrite, but a liar. The confession of the Christian is that he is a sinner who has been covered by the grace of God, had his sins washed away through the blood of Christ, and has been clothed in the righteousness of Christ so that, in spite of his sins, he stands blameless before the throne of God. That's the claim of the Christian.

Preach IT BRO!
In the Gospel of John we all know the story of those who were judging a prostitute picking up stones to stone her until Jesus starting writing in the sand reminding them of their sins. There is just one qualification JUST ONE that allows you to be a stone thrower. If you meet this one qualification you can throw all the stones you want at people.

What is that one qualification?

SINLESS

Prediction:

Investigation turns up a big nothing burger.

But the Investigation picked a big scab and it is too much for Coach Pruitt to overlook.

Both parties agree to a mutual parting of ways.

Fake coaching search for appearances .

They hire the guy they have been speaking to via back channels in case this all went south.
That's what my gut is telling me.

Then again, that means giving the Administration credit...

Yes, AP is on VQ right now talking about how the fanbase on social media is hurting us with coaches and with players. That has been his talking point for a week now

The flip side of this argument is true as well - the passionate fanbase, both in person and on social media has high expectations to be sure. And what an asset that will be once those expectations start to be met! If I'm a coach that is truly concerned with building a program to a point of sustained success, then a fan base as passionate as ours is unmatched, and a definite 'need' for my program.

We've pointed out issues in the past several days on here in regards to everyone not being on the same page, about how the support system is pulling in a multitude of different directions, or the ancillary parts of the machine not being in sync. I argue all of these things are the way they are due to the fact the team isn't living up to our expectations. When we hire a competent HC (either intentionally or luck into one) and expectations start to be met, then everything else should fall into place, and the fanbase will be the ones leading the charge to maintain those expectations.

Also, this fanbase was 100% behind Pruitt coming off of that strong finish last year. Heck, at half time at GA the entire fanbase thought he was the guy. None of that praise on social media helped us. If Pruitt just goes 7-3 or 6-4, very little of that toxicity is out there. he's not wrong to say that it hurts, of course it does. but it isn't the fan's fault for being angry at the staff or the incompetent administration. It's their fault for continuing to serve us Jimmy Hyam's stew and telling us to be joyful while they force it down our throat

Only wanting to play for Pruitt? So they like losing? Fine, they can transfer then. But I don’t actually believe that’s reality. Sure they like Pruitt but they’ll like a new coach too.
They are advocating to keep him. That is fine. But, I am with you. Most of them will stay. In addition, no player or coach is bigger than our program. We have to do what is best for the program, starting today. What is best, IMHO, is to fire Pruitt and start a new era with a new coach. The right coach.

AP isn’t but Mr 3-7 sure did.

If he gave us something to support we would gladly do so.
Exactly! I just want a competitive team that I feel like can beat anyone and play with anyone. Even if we finish 8-4 or 9-3 for a few years, that’s ok as long as we look like a well coached team and we aren’t getting blown out every week.

I backed the guy for a long time and then this year happened along with the loses that shouldn’t have ever happened.

I'm torn. Listening to the VQ podcast has me feeling a certain way. Is it really a good idea to fire Pruitt this year?

Imagine firing Pruitt and then Henry, Crouch, Bailey, Wright, Key, Beckwith, Hyatt, and others transfer and Brooks asks out of his LOI. Talk about setting back the program. This roster is just an average roster right now, you're killing the new coach if that happens. The new coach then starts with a significant deficit in roster numbers, a serious lack of talent, and very little time to add transfers, especially any good ones, who can help. Such a UT thing for this to be happening when that transfer rule is about to take affect. Just like waiting until 2017 to fire butch the first year of the early signing period.
I think we have to keep him unless we do something like Texas.

A same day hire and fire will give the new coach a chance to step in a save a few from transferring and could keep the class alive.

I think if you have a search and people don't like the names they are hearing they will just bounce.

Probably true up to the last part.

Right now they cant get everybody to agree they need to fire Pruitt for his on the field performance. I doubt they ve all got together and identified the guy they are going to hire and agreed on that either.

This is why I have Herman, Gus, & Freeze as the top 3. All 3 have held those big time jobs with the huge spotlight and succeeded while doing it.

If you are choosing between us, auburn, Georgia... h$ll even ole miss..... would you pick the dysfunctional school on probation?
I would pick the school who’s plans sound best to utilize me in whatever scheme fits me best. We’re not getting hit with the death penalty even if the investigation is terrible. At worst a couple schollys gone and a 1 year bowl ban. We bring in too much revenue for the NCAA.

The keeping him window has passed.

Real talk, I wish Kiffin was as much of a BA as some of you make him out to be...
I agree..... I like his potential but my goodness people act like he is the second coming..... I’m thinking spurrier on steriods wouldn’t have had a 5 win season in year 2 at FAU.

I was looking through old pictures the other day and saw a picture of a my family having a halloween party back before I was born. There was my great aunt and uncle in black face. Oh well, guess they are racists and should have never been able to function in society. One of them is still living. I should definitely bring down the thunder on her!
I don’t get the whole black face thing. Suppose you are white, your idol is a black person and you want to dress up like them for Halloween or whatever. How in the hell is that racist? Makes zero sense.

Bro I was on the Pruitt train. The background of my computer is a picture of him and my children. I still like the guy. But he ain't the one to restore us. Rip off the bandaid.
