I hope you're right. They said Howell is talking to Crouch every day, they said there are players considering not coming back until late semester start because they don't want to play for anyone but Pruitt
I'm torn. Listening to the VQ podcast has me feeling a certain way. Is it really a good idea to fire Pruitt this year?
Imagine firing Pruitt and then Henry, Crouch, Bailey, Wright, Key, Beckwith, Hyatt, and others transfer and Brooks asks out of his LOI. Talk about setting back the program. This roster is just an average roster right now, you're killing the new coach if that happens. The new coach then starts with a significant deficit in roster numbers, a serious lack of talent, and very little time to add transfers, especially any good ones, who can help. Such a UT thing for this to be happening when that transfer rule is about to take affect. Just like waiting until 2017 to fire butch the first year of the early signing period.
Didn’t Mullen cover up rape?
Didn’t Dabo cover for an assistant who used the N-word to players?
Doesn’t Kirby rock a bowl cut?
Sorry a 20 year old wearing a bad costume doesn’t make him a racist and I sincerely doubt it’ll be an effective negative recruiting tool.
Yes, this is a good point. So we wait to next year to fire him and still lose all the above mention guys plus whoever we have on the hook in the 22 class that will be committed/signed with Pruitt ? Its a double edge sword however you spin it. At this point all we are doing is delaying the inevitable by keeping him. I vote we get out front of this while we are basically the only fish in the sea looking for a coach.
Freeze is a fake Christian that uses it as a front to things he does in life.
Players always say that. But most come back and love the new coach. It does make it tricky with the one time transfer coming and I think that could make it harder to keep kids, but most would still probably stay.I hope you're right. Never as easy as some of us make it out to be. The thing is I have my doubts that many, if any of these guys would leave. The transfer rule can cut both ways. A dynamic hire might bring more players in. Just an unknown variable right now. The thing I can't get passed is the appearance that the staff can't work together, the HC can't manage a staff and that the AD, while a great HC in his day, appears to let his ego and stubborness get in the way. IF Pruitt is retained , these things have to be dealt with.I'm torn. Listening to the VQ podcast has me feeling a certain way. Is it really a good idea to fire Pruitt this year?
