can confirm the infractions have now turned from being focused solely on some assistant coaches and improper benefits to the being focused on that and the role the head coach played in that as well as other violations the head coach may have been involved in. the wheels are indeed turning and the tone of the investigation has completely changed as well.
The fans and admin also make it unattractive. Think of how many good coaches have left there: spurrier, Meyer, and now Mullen. They also ran off a guy that went to ATL twice in three years. Worst best job in the country
Zook was who they had “lined up” after spurrier. He left because he got tired of it and urban meyer developed serious health problems from stress there.Spurrier leaving isn't a knock against the program. He's UF's favorite son. Tried the NFL and it didn't work and they had Meyer by then. Meyer left because Saban took over the SEC. And Mullen is just on a shorter timeline than Spurrier.
Firing Mac is the knock against them but 4-7 is hard to argue against as a fireable offense, plus the fake death threats.
Who would you pick?
I think it depends on the context and circumstances. If they are doing/did things that could really get us popped then it’s stupid. But if it’s ticky tack... then i would side with Pruitt. The fact that it’s gone this long and there’s legal getting involved. It is probably more serious than just simple ineligible player or two.Why does Pruitts response actually earn respect from me??I kinda feel the same way.

He’s not being stopped from contacting coaches. He just can’t officially offer the job to them right now. It’s responsible for the university to be that way.I think that’s the part Pruitt has a beef on. If he’s the coach he’s got to be allowed to hire his staff.
that’s the part I would defend him on.
By playing hardball with Pruitt and trying to threaten his buyout and forcing him to retain his own lawyer, we now will have Pruitt burning things down heading out the door.
