Fires Pruitt. Fulmer promoted to Interim to HC for 2021. Fulmers plan all along. He’s the snitch

can confirm the infractions have now turned from being focused solely on some assistant coaches and improper benefits to the being focused on that and the role the head coach played in that as well as other violations the head coach may have been involved in. the wheels are indeed turning and the tone of the investigation has completely changed as well.

The fans and admin also make it unattractive. Think of how many good coaches have left there: spurrier, Meyer, and now Mullen. They also ran off a guy that went to ATL twice in three years. Worst best job in the country

Spurrier leaving isn't a knock against the program. He's UF's favorite son. Tried the NFL and it didn't work and they had Meyer by then. Meyer left because Saban took over the SEC. And Mullen is just on a shorter timeline than Spurrier.

Firing Mac is the knock against them but 4-7 is hard to argue against as a fireable offense, plus the fake death threats.

Call it what you want. At the end of the day, this is all internal that became external due to a snitch.
It was always internal. That’s why compliance is in place. To do damage control and keep the NCAA out. They can only “protect” you so much until it’s out of their hands.

Zook was who they had “lined up” after spurrier. He left because he got tired of it and urban meyer developed serious health problems from stress there.

Who would you pick?

Actually my first pick was just announced as HC for Texas. After that, the available coaches are thin... Herman may have an upside. Not sure he was given a real chance at Texas, but also not sure he proved enough while he had that job either. The two that I believe would generate the most "buzz" would be either Kiffin or Freeze and no way either of those are happening. An "unexciting" but solid head coach to look at is Bill Clark. But he would be a very much unknown and would have to have some stellar coordinators to help him at the SEC level...

Why does Pruitts response actually earn respect from me??🤔🤔I kinda feel the same way. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I think it depends on the context and circumstances. If they are doing/did things that could really get us popped then it’s stupid. But if it’s ticky tack... then i would side with Pruitt. The fact that it’s gone this long and there’s legal getting involved. It is probably more serious than just simple ineligible player or two.

Spurrier thought success would just carry over to the league. I just doesent work that way.
Meyer had internal problems that cost him in the long run. After they left recruiting fell off and he couldn’t maintain the level of success
Mac couldn’t recruit talent to Fl

They’ll get whomever they want. They have an in with the SEC office

I think that’s the part Pruitt has a beef on. If he’s the coach he’s got to be allowed to hire his staff.

that’s the part I would defend him on.
He’s not being stopped from contacting coaches. He just can’t officially offer the job to them right now. It’s responsible for the university to be that way.

By playing hardball with Pruitt and trying to threaten his buyout and forcing him to retain his own lawyer, we now will have Pruitt burning things down heading out the door.

who says we did any of that?
Plenty of coaches have lawyered up during investigations. It doesn’t mean we forced him to do that. It’s means he made a smart decision for once

What if this drags on let's say another month. At that point we would have to almost intermediate Fulmer for a year wouldn't we? Another late Jan or early Feb coaching search doesn't sound favorable at all

Spurrier leaving UF wasn't because of anything to do with UF. And Meyer's fake health problems were squarely due to him mismanaging that team post-Tebow. Again, nothing to do with UF. It's a great job. Mac won the East twice there and he's back to coaching a G5 team.
