The funny part is he thinks there will be a meltdown. Per usual Georgia fans project their insecurities on other teams. Tennessee is coming off a 3-7 season. We expect nothing. UGA had 2 losses and about allowed a school outside of the power 5 to ruin the playoff system. In theory he should go to UGA except for the fact that they landed Washington in the 2020 class. Doubt a kid will go somewhere where he may not see playing time

I don’t know what your last sentence is supposed to say. It’s a lot easier be the guy getting told what to do, then being the guy making the decisions. Pruitt has made slot of bad decisions.

Gilbert is a joker type TE. Washington is a traditional on line TE. In today's game, most TE's are specialists. A handful of pro and college teams still use traditional and UGA is one of those. Washington is slow, he just has the height and wingspan to make the catches. You can cover him with a physical LB. A joker requires you to cover with a S or physical Nickel - which makes Gilbert a really tough guy to cover with his speed and physicality. You can have him on the outside, in the slot, or on the line. He can play H-back and even trap block on runs.

Give me Gilbert all day every day with his versatility.

He's doing poorly as a HC so far, but it's completely unfair to call him a bad DC. Saban would not have hired him a 2nd time if he sucked.
