Windy's football discussion thread.

SEC... Miss State won. Georgia won by the hairs of their sphincters. Auburn lost ugly, but nothing like the five TD deficit of Florida. Barring a miracle, Bama’s gonna win...

I am debating putting in a Wild Wild West DVD (the series, not the movie).
Now I’m wishing I went out to buy a book. Doing that tomorrow. I’m old school and like to have a good hardback. Any suggestions? Stay away from science fiction and God’s sakes, nothing with any sort of romance (I lose enough brain cells through out the day).

This is the last book I read. I got it at Barnes & Noble. It's very good, but I pretty much read only non-fiction unless it's Faulkner or Melville.

Lords of the Levee: The Story of Bathhouse John and Hinky Dink by Lloyd Wendt
I like both non fiction and fiction. Try to alternate between the two. I haven’t let myself read a book in awhile, but miss it. I’ll look for it tomorrow. The book I had put up to read someday, I tried it last night. It was God awful. I only got twenty pages in (twice). The author tried too hard and didn’t let his characters or plot build. It went in the garbage.

Two of my favorites, one fiction, one non. I am mostly a non-fiction guy outside of the classics.
