I've done my research. 5-7 and 2-6 in 2019. You want another gomer to come in here and post up those numbers? Not me. I mean, if beating Kansas gets you fired up, jump on his bandwagon. He's already had to vacate wins, he's not the saint and savior everyone on here claims he is. I'll pass.
Impressive job at CCU. But load the Brinks truck for Matt Campbell before even considering this guy.
And you have to consider how hard it is to get competitive talent to Ames.Agree with this. I like Chadwell and several others but they need to shoot for the proven guys first. I know there are reports that Urban is going to the NFL but they have to at least give him a call. Matt Campbell is right at the top of the next small group of guys who have proven it at a Power 5 school and are ready to take a step up. It's not as much of a leap up for someone like Campbell as it would be for one of the smaller school guys.
I think an important thing that people miss is, it wasn't just the football program. It was the NCAA came down on Charleston Southern sports, including football, meaning there were other sports that got hit as well ... at least that's my take.

Dude just won AP COY! Is that not enough respect for the UT job?Looking back on the last 12-13 years it becomes obvious to me that there is 1 thing missing on each new hire.
Respect
Not one of these guys have been able to walk into the building and command respect just by his presence. A whole lot people want to try this guy and that guy but I haven’t seen any coach mentioned that brings instant respect.
Freeze, Chadwell, Napier and the like bring hope and we don’t need hope. Do they bring respect from fans, students, media, boosters?
Name the coach that brings, that commands instant respect from everyone and that’s our guy.

If our boosters don't question the likes of Dooley, Butch, Schiano or Pruitt, why question a guy who looks like a legit coach?I imagine there would be more questions and doubt than there would be respect. I’m talking about someone that demands respect instantly, no questions asked from boosters, players, or fans.
If you have to ask the question then the answer is probably no.
I’m not saying he was good. What I’m saying is what makes you think he would be successful in the SEC. Cause he’s young and energetic?, had a great year with a small college team, or just a hunch? There is nothing that screams he’s even close to a sure thing, he could be a downgrade. My point is don’t take a chance, if we’re gonna get rid of Pruitt then there is only a couple great options and they all start with Freeze. Are you really tooting up Dooleys stint as Sabans RB/TE coach as “ SEC experience “? I actually respect Chadwell for going out on his own and getting the HC experience. Thank God we have a HC right now who has SEC experience!!!
I mean The dudes right. Who cares if he put up 300 yards in that league. Do you think that’ll just transfer over to UT. Also, most high school players don’t know that offense, he’d literally have to start over on Philosophy. This screams train wreck. His triple option QB threw for 300+ yards against the last team they played. Maybe do some research before posting:
Was gonna like until I saw the strongly consider Chadwell. He has done NOTHING to show he’d have the slightest success at UT. Offense wouldn’t fit our players and we’d be literally revamping everything Again, for an unproven guy who had one good year but still lost to the guy we should hire. The problem is......we cannot be guilty of rolling the dice with a totally unproven never been HC candidate. You did that once with Pruitt....cannot do that twice consecutively. That is why I would strongly consider Chadwell.......he has been a HC for around 10 years and has a track record of success everywhere he has been. No NCAA stink on him either....just his former compliance officer.

That “league “ has 4 teams that have been ranked in the top 25 over the last 2 years, and a 5th team that beat UT at Neyland. And the team that he just did it against beat two ACC teams this year and almost beat a 3rd. You do understand that he would also have better recruiting in this league?? I’m not saying he would win big here. Nobody can predict that, but you’re reasoning for why he wouldn’t doesn’t really hold water.
That's not the only college he's coached at you ignorant wretch...5-7 his first year at CCU, 2-6 in conference. Yeah, you're right. He set the freaking world on fire. Show me where I said Butch's record at Tennessee? I didn't. He's had two 10 plus win seasons in his career. You wanna be a dumb a#@, do it on your own time.
