Ga ranked 89th in team defense in 2013. In 2014 under Pruitt, 16. In 2015 under Pruitt, 8th. Try again

Bass, loaded roster make coaches look better than they are. Look how many assistants Bama has let go and failed on their own.

It takes a lot more to coach kids up and get everything out of them than to let kids just play their positions.

People keep saying he has to win 9 or 10 next year. 1 team in the last 10 years (auburn) went from 3-9 to 10-2. History is not on his side so why would we keep him? Hope? Then pay the 10 new assistants he has to fire because they either suck or don't like him more buyout money?

This administration is completely out of touch and won't get my $10,000 donation next year. Much cheaper to buy them on the secondary market anyways if we ever become relevant again.
Damn big perm lemme hold a stack

Like I said before, We will never be back to where we once were. Too many politics involved on the Hill and dumbass people making decisions. Sorry freak for the language.

Good news is that I’ll have more money and time to work on my old cars.
It is a total mess, but all it really takes is one good coaching hire (which can come purely via luck) who comes in and wins some games and shuts people up.

Alabama was every bit the embarrassment we are today, then they hired Saban. And he wasn't even their first choice.

After a complete disaster of 2020, 8-4 with no blowout losses (except for Bama) in 2021 would be a miracle and would restore my faith in Pruitt.

HOWEVER, I believe that Pruitt has shown his true colors and we will continue to have piss poor offense and personnel decisions. IMO 6-6 is the ceiling next year with him.

He also recruited Jonathan Abram and Deandre Baker as 3 stars, and both turned into first round picks. I know people are out on him, but we do this every time we are looking for a coach. Not all is just terrible. He is a good defensive coach; he just hasn't been good as a head coach.
All that really matters to me.

Here's a question. What record in 2021 will it take for you guys to believe in Pruitt again?

8-4?

9-3?

For me, if he's not 8-4 or better he HAS to be fired. But who knows with Phil...

If any of those happen it’s a big extension with a lot of money. No chance of it happening though. Control freaks don’t ever change and Pruitt won’t be any different.

Ga was loaded in 2013 and were ranked 89th. pruitt is an elite DC to argue otherwise is stupid

It's not 4:00 yet.

*Let it play out friend. Until JP starts hiring assistant coaches, then firing him is still a possibility.

**There's nothing to say JP is for sure gone or back for another season yet.

I guessed there would be news either way yesterday and was proven wrong. It didn't hurt anything. Hope's became a part of the off season around here and has been for years.

Hiring assistants is not a priority right now because the class is already signed and lots of quality coaches are still playing football. Movement on assistants will happen after the football season is complete.

To me...... it’s not as much about the record as it is about how we look doing it.
I feel like that what our outlook this season. "5-5 would be acceptable if we play really close games". Instead we went 3-7 and looked AWFUL in our losses...and he is going to return?! 2 losing seasons in 3 years...really? Wtf??

I have cold symptoms with right elbow inflammation. No fever

Elbow? Maybe I should be tested. I have a "cold", no fever, but my right elbow feels off...like it isn't connected properly or something. No pain, just not right.

A lot of those guys developed a lot under Mullen and weren’t under Mac. Similar to Taylor under Pruitt compared to Butch. I wasn’t saying Mullen built Florida from the ground up but Florida was far from good. Far from what they were when Mac or Meyer took over. Mac took over an elite defense with a lot of talent and then regressed an already bad offense and made the defense average. And the program just wasn’t in the best shape in general I do believe it was better than what Pruitt took over tho just not by a whole lot

I'm done discussing it, but it was about what Mullen inherited. I'm not a huge Grantham fan, so I don't think he magically made everyone better. The point was that he inherited some elite talent. Mullen continued to play Franks until he broke his ankle and was forced to play Trask.

UF not being in the "best" shape is better than about 90% of all other schools. They can get talent anytime, and that's why Mullen wanted to go there because recruiting isn't his strong suit.

AP and Hubbs have been saying a lot of recruits are reading the board and that fan response is hurting the recruiting. I wouldn't typically care, but if this staff is coming back, we need to land that in state class next year. It is loaded and could change the direction of the program.
I’m so tired of hearing this lie. AP is an idiot and a mouth piece. Recruiting is hurting because we are getting blown out every week and we won three games. Development is terrible and we aren’t drafting anyone. Everyone who is getting drafted were Butch players. Too Too, Thompson, Morris, and Gray are probably the only draft able players that were recruited by Pruitt. Recruiting sucks because Pruitt sucks.

Gotta get the QB mess straightened out. If Pruitt manages to get that fixed, we have a good shot of winning some games. If he's unable to get that mess sorted, he could be fired mid year 2021.
He won't. He botched Bailey's FR year. I dont really expect anything any different next season. He played basically a game and a half- to two games with all the rotating when he could have a lot of experience going into next season. He also had him looking out of sorts by the end of the A&M game because he was afraid to make a mistake because he would pull him if anything went wrong, even if it wasn't his fault like at Vandy.

I still think we lose to Pitt and then he is fired about half way in after an SEC loss or two.
