3 isn't going to work. As Hubbs has said, it isn't the fans who stopped that hire. It was government and boosters calling them out on twitter and behind the scenes. It was the emails from high level donors, not the fans protesting.

As for 4, it was said by Doug Matthews this morning, they know that fans are going to watch no matter what. Fans will show up, fans will watch on TV, they are going to make their money. Even if every fan on VN tunes out, they wouldn't even notice.
Not true. Fans stopped that hire. The boosters and donors were ok with the hire. You don’t make a hire without approval from many. Fans went crazy and it got noticed by everyone so they had to stop it.

And I disagree with the last part. Fans show up and watch until they are done with a coach. I think we will have the lowest attendance in the history of our program next year. The fans are finally tired of losing and getting nothing from the University. It’s been over a decade of being bad.

It's 10 wins and top 5 class or bust next year if he's back. It's that simple. Anything less, he ain't the answer. After some 3-7 ********, you better do a complete 180. That's the only solution.
Depends on who your asking. This admin will be ok with 6. Kiss the 22 class gone. After 5 wins next year and he is fired, it will be to late to salvage a great in state class. Same excuses will be made after every firing of a coach that the new coach will be more important than 1 class. While I agree, that should be this year. Jmo

Here's a question. What record in 2021 will it take for you guys to believe in Pruitt again?

8-4?

9-3?

For me, if he's not 8-4 or better he HAS to be fired. But who knows with Phil...
To me...... it’s not as much about the record as it is about how we look doing it.

It wasn't that bad. I thought we were near a more level playing field when both Mullen and Pruitt took over. Some guys that struggled under Butch have actually played well in the NFL (Tuttle, Phillips, Taylor).

But, Mullen inherited a pretty elite secondary in Henderson, Gardner-Johnson, and Wilson along with some good DL talent. He also inherited a veteran OL with good WR's. He still has really yet to play his own QB, which is ironic with Pruitt's decision to continue to play JG.

I will be interested to see how Mullen progresses with his own recruiting classes that have been hit hard. Transfers have obviously helped him.
A lot of those guys developed a lot under Mullen and weren’t under Mac. Similar to Taylor under Pruitt compared to Butch. I wasn’t saying Mullen built Florida from the ground up but Florida was far from good. Far from what they were when Mac or Meyer took over. Mac took over an elite defense with a lot of talent and then regressed an already bad offense and made the defense average. And the program just wasn’t in the best shape in general I do believe it was better than what Pruitt took over tho just not by a whole lot

Now that's fair. Younger guys don't have the body size to hold up as well. But imo they are more talented than what our upper classmen are.
Yea it’s more of just a historically unlikely scenario imo but also Pruitt has not shown that he is very good at DL/edge recruiting so far. A lot of meh/nothing so far. There is some potential tho. I wish crouch would go back to DL

If he’s laid out another plan then he’ll be here til 24 at least given Fulmer doesent give him another raise stating “improvements”.

You might as well take the Freeze horse and shoot it because it’s dead for the time being

I get that, but what I was responding to was about Freeze.

It's all subjective but who knows what our season would have looked like with a normal year of practice and no disruptions. I believe there are two reasons UT will not make a change this year.

1. Disruption of normal football operations due to Corona
2. The extension of Fulmer and Pruitt at the beginning of the year

These are just my opinions but I believe they're valid

1. Everybody in the world has had to deal with Corona.
2. Extending those guys at that time is fireable offenses unto itself.

I hate Pruitt as a coach and think he’s overrated as hell. You’re right. Numbers don’t lie. Worley dropped 32 on them in Athens. Treon Harris and that bad 2014 florida team scored on him. Then basically every good team they played scored on them
Ga ranked 89th in team defense in 2013. In 2014 under Pruitt, 16. In 2015 under Pruitt, 8th. Try again

I'm hoping against all hope it is because they were horrible at handling the covid year, and that if we don't have that craziness in 2021, we'll see real development and improvement. AP has said they didn't handle the covid stuff well, and that they have said that stuff also in public and behind the scenes. He said earlier today that in the summer they didn't even think football would be played. Sounds like they didn't plan well for it and didn't really know how to handle it.
Keep trying Bass. Then 2021 comes and we still look like crap and it will all fade away. He is done. Probably go down as our worst head coach ever.

I’ll Play Keep Gump:

- Fire neids. Hire a proven developer at DL and OL coach .... idc about their ties or recruiting potential. hire a LB coach that matches this scheme. DL and OL coaches are the Most important assistants imo.
- Pruitt take back over calling the defense. You were billed as an elite DC... prove it.
- fire Chaney. Hire a more spread/power OC with more QB friendly passing concepts. (A couple random names that i could get behind: FL QB coach Brian Johnson and Arizona State OC Zack Hill. Research them... you’ll like what you find)
- get a transfer QB. Idc from where. Idc what star. Idc what level. Someone who has been productive as a starter somewhere.

That’s all i got.
Agree on all points

People keep saying he has to win 9 or 10 next year. 1 team in the last 10 years (auburn) went from 3-9 to 10-2. History is not on his side so why would we keep him? Hope? Then pay the 10 new assistants he has to fire because they either suck or don't like him more buyout money?

This administration is completely out of touch and won't get my $10,000 donation next year. Much cheaper to buy them on the secondary market anyways if we ever become relevant again.

Great he took a rag tag group of four , five star players , and made good.

Where is the genius when you don't have a wealth of those?

He also recruited Jonathan Abram and Deandre Baker as 3 stars, and both turned into first round picks. I know people are out on him, but we do this every time we are looking for a coach. Not all is just terrible. He is a good defensive coach; he just hasn't been good as a head coach.
