Pruitt is doing too much. He forgot to inspire greatness in anybody.

This is the risk of hiring a guy who has no HC experience. He’s never been responsible for establishing a culture, just coaching his guys up.

Last year he had strong player leadership to lean on. So once he challenged them after the FL game, they responded. Those leaders left and it now it falls on the culture you’ve built as a program. Clearly ours is lacking.

It makes no sense. We are bleeding 🩸 assistants and players and yet no word from on high. I realize the factions are all busy fighting it out but at this point a statement needs to be made even if it’s a straight up lie where you give a vote of confidence and fire him days later. Holidays, COVID, infighting, and whatever else is going down something needs to be said.

Who knows what is gonna happen. For all we know it could be March before anything happens

Doug Mathews on 104.5 acting like Fulmer is such a good AD is laughable. Fulmer's mouthpiece was also trying to make this year's results seem normal because it's a "4-5 year rebuild". Until we see losing as many by double digits as we did and losing to Arkansas in year 3 as unacceptable we will never be a winning program.
Good God, this "4 to 5 year rebuild" stuff makes me sick. It's only a 4-5 year rebuild if we were recruiting 50th in the country for the last several years.

This school has a coaching and an administration problem.

Again. You clearly have no idea what kind of shape Mac left Florida in

MSU had one season since 2000 before Mullen showed up where they didn’t lose 8+ games. You clearly don’t know what a rebuild is. MSU and Tennessee aren’t on the same level of programs. Going 9-4 at MSU is like making it to the playoffs. Had Mullen came here we would be doing exactly what Florida has done

If what Mullen did at MSU isn’t a rebuild can you even find just one example of what you would call a rebuild?

I guess you didn't realize that in year two at MSU, Mullen beat Memphis (1-11), UGA (6-7), Alcorn State (who cares), Houston (5-7), UAB (4-8), UK (6-7), Ole Miss (4-8). They did beat an 8-5 UF team and a 7-6 Michigan team in the bowl game.

Again, I am not saying Dan is a bad coach because he isn't. But there is context to all of this. He fluffed his record at MSU in most years.

Yea, keep trying to justify keeping him Fulmer. If they couldn’t win with last years team 21 will be much worse

Go back and read my original post. "I" don't want any more Saban disciples.

This is an opinion for an opinion board. I didn't go seeking you out to stir something up. I posted "my" opinion.
What if the Saban disciple won a national title on his own at another school, and has put together a bunch of other good seasons on his own at another school?

I don't want any more unproven Saban disciples. If the coach has proven that he can do it on his own at the P5 level, isn't that different?

yes we have, and that's the one thing that will worry me if we don't rebound well on the defensive end, or don't force some turnovers to get teams out of that....

which is why i think we're going to really try and get things inside the arc for higher % jump shots, and try to get fulky, pons, nkomwe (sp?) involved around the rim.....

no clue how we try to get springer and keon involved....but i bet they both play a factor...one way or the other...before the game is over.
Springer and Keon should be affective with the dribble/drive. Mizzou has experienced guards so it should be interesting. I can see some inside out play off the dribble drive and the dump down too.

And before he showed up MSU wasn’t winning any of those games except for Memphis and Alcorn State

No, I have had my fill here at UT. Two is enough for me. Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma all seem to have done fine without tapping into Saban. Its very similar in the NFL. For many years, people tried to tap into the New England Patriots' success. Time and time again, its not really worked out. Jury is still out on Miami's Flores.

I wasn’t seeking you out. Mine started as a generic statement for all those calling Sarkisian a Saban disciple.

A couple of posts ago, you asked me to explain. I explained.

Obviously I don't know what a rebuild is....you said he rebuilt the program in less than 4 years. He went 5-7, 9-4, and 7-6 in his first 3 years. I am saying he did a fantastic job there, but you are the one screaming a rebuild doesn't take 4-5 years. If you want to move the goalposts then you are certainly allowed to do that. I dont make the rules. I even gave you his follow-up 4th and 5th season of 8-5 and 7-6 to help your argument. Dont forget that Sylvester Croom had them at 8-4 in 2007.

Bailey & James are also very capable of getting to the rim.

I feel like this game comes down to how effective Fulky & Pons are inside on both sides of the court. Need to generate offense as well as prevent Missouri from getting too many second chances.

Oh I agree. I was just pontificating what the freshmen roles would be. No disrespect to Bailey or James.

Yes like I said one season since 2000 they didn’t lose 8+ before Mullen

But please explain and post examples of what a rebuild is then if Mullen didn’t do that at MSU and all the other examples posted don’t count. I guess Campbell at ISU isn’t a rebuild either🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
