Sark wasn’t getting mentions for jobs this year because of Pete Carroll. His career bottomed out and he has been restored by Saban. Sark was an above average coach at Washington. He had a 0.540 win %. Sure he did better than his predecessor did. That’s usually what happens. Washington is not a slouch program. Plenty of people won there. Don James, Rick “Passion Bucket” Nuhiesel, Sark, Chris Peterson.

Once Sark gets another HC job, do you honestly think he won’t be associated and lumped into the Saban coaching tree?

Again, would you turn down Jimbo Fisher right now?

Tbf, the 2016 recruits were significantly better than the 17 class, which is who the majority of our upperclassmen were this season. That class was cheeks.

"For cause" is when you have slam-dunk, incontrovertible evidence, and even then the coach is going to retain counsel and threaten suit. And that will air all dirty laundry and hang people out to dry way up the chain. Nothing ever happens in a vacuum.

UT promptly and thoroughly investigated to see what was out there. And the answer is-- no cause. And no negotiated buyout unless Pruitt wants out right now-- which it appears he does not.

We are just gonna have to disagree on anything Fla, UGA and rebuilt in the same sentence because our definitions of the words obviously differ.

Now to Mullen and the Miss St job. He did a fantastic job there, but remember you are arguing rebuilds in less than 4 years. His first 3 seasons there were 5-7, 9-4 (good year), and 7-6. Im not calling that a rebuilt program although its admirable. Which one of the UT fans on this forum would be singing his praises after that? Nada....follow that up with 8-5 and 7-6, and what do you think the fans would be screaming? Ohhh what a rebuilt program we have.

MSU had one season since 2000 before Mullen showed up where they didn’t lose 8+ games. You clearly don’t know what a rebuild is. MSU and Tennessee aren’t on the same level of programs. Going 9-4 at MSU is like making it to the playoffs. Had Mullen came here we would be doing exactly what Florida has done

If what Mullen did at MSU isn’t a rebuild can you even find just one example of what you would call a rebuild?

my biggest sign is the lack of news or anything about replacing coaching staff that has left. Every other team is announcing coaching staff hirings...yet here we are just...nothing at all except a mass exodus in the portal.

I think most of us want change, but some of us are making a mockery of how this is all playing out exactly like the Gruden thing. People coming out of the woodwork pretending to have detailed conversations with the AD (or someone close to them). Posters posting random emojis. Posters getting sucked in so ridiculously.

Oh man...Deandre Johnson is in the portal now too? So we've lost our 2 best pass rushers, 3 TEs, 3 QBs, 2 WRs, & Baylen (CB) so far...

That's a total of I think 10 or 11 scholarships transferring out.

It makes no sense. We are bleeding assistants and players and yet no word from on high. I realize the factions are all busy fighting it out but at this point a statement needs to be made even if it’s a straight up lie where you give a vote of confidence and fire him days later. Holidays, COVID, infighting, and whatever else is going down something needs to be said. This feels every bit as effed up as our search under Bahama John despite there not being an official search.

Doug Mathews on 104.5 acting like Fulmer is such a good AD is laughable. Fulmer's mouthpiece was also trying to make this year's results seem normal because it's a "4-5 year rebuild". Until we see losing as many by double digits as we did and losing to Arkansas in year 3 as unacceptable we will continue to be bottom dwellers in the SEC.
