Hahahahahabahahahaha. Pruitt is better than Gus. You're high my guy

I don’t expect anyone to agree coming off a 3-7 season. And I’m certainly not high on CJP right now. But I’m confident this will be proven true over time. Regardless of where each respective coaches go on to coach.

Gus took over a fully built squad with all the resources in the world and did nothing with it.

And again, he is .500 vs Pruitt. He’s trash.

Florida, UGA, and A&M were not rebuilds by any (certainly not like any comparable to the mess we have here). I will give you that Mullen and Freeze had good seasons at the Miss. school but they were not rebuilt either.

When did I say you couldn't act any way you want?
Hahaha. You obviously have no idea how bad McElwain left Florida. While UGA wasn’t a full rebuild Smart took to new heights right away. Same with Jimbo at A&M. Meanwhile pruitt takes Tennessee even further down. The Mississippi schools were 100% “rebuilt” especially MSU under Mullen. MSU under Mullen is literally a prime example of taking Vandy 2.0 making them into a competent competitive football team that won games in the hardest division in CFB. If that’s not rebuilt then they don’t exist

Says his reasoning for leaving is because he doesn't get the ball thrown his way and is tired of being a blocking TE. Says there's more blame on the players for our results this season than the coaches.
but also goes on to say how much he thinks of the coaches and was very appreciative of the opportunity and honesty of the conversation they had, allowing the decision to come from that process.

it wasn't a "slam the coach" piece.

Why do you think that lack of commitment is happening in the program?
I don’t think you can blame it on any coach. The coaches ask what they ask of you, and if a coach gives me an install and I don’t learn it and we go out there, they call the play and I run the wrong route or I’m doing the wrong stuff in practice, the coach isn’t going to have confidence in me to call that play or even put me out on the field.

I don’t know, I think the younger guys need to step up. I think older guys need to step up too and have some serious “come to Jesus” meetings, realize you have limited time and realize you’re there for a reason. You’re there to make your family proud, to get an education and to succeed in the realm of football. And it’s not just OK to put the uniform on. If you’re going to do that, you might as well just be a fan. No offense to all the fans out there, but you’re there for a reason. If you don’t take that seriously, that’s on you. I don’t think you can blame any coach, any offensive coordinator, any position coach for development or anything like that.

I think at the end of the day, it comes down to this: Do you want to be great? Or do you just want to be out there, on the sidelines with your pom poms?

It really just boils my blood even thinking about it.

Neither do the 50 message board posters claiming inside sources.

It’s almost like this is all just forum fodder.

Well I *assume* everyone knows that posters here don’t know anything. TOS posters with “sources” really taking a hit today.

But TB acts as if he actually has information and sources and bc he has a radio show people believe him.

I don’t think he’s the wrong guy. They’ve done well in recruiting for the most part. Honestly, I think it’s on the players. The schemes are there. Obviously, coaches mess up just like players mess up. Sometimes, in the words of Coach (Jim) Chaney, you just “got got.” They run a blitz to it or you can make a bad defensive call and it is what it is. You bite the bullet and that’s it. But the majority of where the program is and where it’s going needs to be on the players. Because we’re the ones who step between the lines. We’re the ones who play. The coaches are on the sideline. The games wouldn’t be the games without the players.

Maybe, just maybe, it as simple as getting the Butch recruits out of the program?

My explanation is simple. Just because Sarkisian has worked for Saban for 15% of his career does not make him a disciple. Sarkisian also had winning experience as HC at multiple P5 programs prior to joining Saban, none of the guys you mentioned had that. Would you turn down Jimbo Fisher because he is a “Saban disciple?”

Sark wasn’t getting mentions for jobs this year because of Pete Carroll. His career bottomed out and he has been restored by Saban. Sark was an above average coach at Washington. He had a 0.540 win %. Sure he did better than his predecessor did. That’s usually what happens. Washington is not a slouch program. Plenty of people won there. Don James, Rick “Passion Bucket” Nuhiesel, Sark, Chris Peterson.

Once Sark gets another HC job, do you honestly think he won’t be associated and lumped into the Saban coaching tree?

Sark wasn’t groomed under Saban, he was groomed under Carroll, he was brought in to bring the high profile USC offense to Bama when Kiffen left. Sark would probably do well here with his connections to the West Coast.

There’s a big difference between being one of Saban’s guys and beings a paid assassin. IMO
My point wasn’t about Saban grooming him. Just don’t won’t anyone from that program coming immediately here. That’s all.
