Neverending MBRO memory thread

Ain't really much going on. I folded the plastic for them, probably will the ones I'm taking home. They're like 20 by 15 feet pieces of heavy duty stuff, and they're just gonna throw them away!

Could save for ne t year instead of buying more! Company has too much money! But I'm gonba get me some out of it, bout 10 pieces.

Tiffany was on the way home from getting kiddo from work, and got a call. We're "hands free" in Georgia, and it was a Dr who's working with her lawyer, so she had to talk to him. He started asking her "personal questions", and they pulled in, and my daughter's face was red😂.

On a serious note, this is a big shot Dr who is also a lawyer from California. I can't remember if I mentioned, but there's 3 different things/situations her attorney is going after. One being the mesh, and that's what this guy specializes in, trial mesh cases, and he can do anywhere. Anyway, dude was furious, he personally called the Dr in Atlanta asking questions, and they told him that Tiffany's records had been destroyed. He said they pretty much burried themselves, but he was angry because of her health. He said number 1 is to do everything possible to help her, above the lawsuits, and they have destroyed evidence that could lead him to helping. He told her, they have records she got which includes what they need, but he was digging for as much info as possible. He's 100% sure the mesh is what caused her bladder to quit to start with, then the Dr screwed up during surgery. He only does catastrophic injuries, and said he's never seen someone as damaged as her, then has suffered more from having to have her bladder removed. Her attorney already has a guy in Texas on board, now this guy, and none of it is class action, it's just her. They must be seriously going after some $. I've said that jokingly, but I bout believe it. I'd rather her be okay though, but that said, if anybody deserves "pain and suffering", she does.

This is ILLEGAL: “...and they told him that Tiffany's records had been destroyed.” Not just tacky; not just less than best practices; this is illegal. A patient owns the information in the medical record. The providers (physicians, therapists, clinics, hospitals) own the printed or electronic record, but they are mandated to keep it for 10 years in Tennessee and Georgia. Many providers shred the printed copies after a few years, but they must be scanned with the electronic form maintained for the ten years. If the surgeon ditched them, the hospital should have their copy of the operative report. (Your tiger MD/JD is all over this. I love it!)

I hate that this has to happen, but I think you guys have a good attorney. I hope the surgeon loses his/her license over this. Grrrr!

I do recall him saying something about an operative report at tge hospital, I was listening in after she pulled in. I think the Dr was just trying to cover their butt or something, idk. From what little I've overheard the attorney, and this guy, they sound vicious, but that's what she needs imo. This Dr did send her some information through text, details about something (can't recall the word) he thinks is going on. In a nutshell, even though they "removed" that mesh, he said it can get into the hips and they normally don't remove that. He said in her case, it could be part of the problem that nobody else is looking at. It's a long shot, but he's going to tell her good Dr to look into it. Like I said, I want ger better. It'd be nice to get back some of the $ we've paid, but if this guy can help her get some better, I'm gonna be happy with that.

🙏🏻 As always, prayers up for all y’all!

(Bad medicine enrages me, in case you can’t tell. 🤪)

Update, didn't make the gym. Had some stuff around here to do, and gonna take daughter to the movies to watch with her friends. I'm not staying, and it's not a boy!

That Dr is still texting Tiffany, sending her stuff, and discussing her health. That's pretty cool to me, I mean yeah he'll likely get $ off her case, but he's not talking about that. He's talking about stuff to help her, I like it.
Some people really are motivated by passion for justice and doing the right thing in general, not just money. Although I’m sure they’re happy to have the money keeping them going!

The doctor/surgeon isn't the only one with records. The hospital, the labs, the patient advocate in the OR, there are lots of records of her care.

And the office that destroyed her records is in some deep ****.
I know nothing about all that stuff, but I have enough sense to know it didn't sound right them destroying her records. I'm just guessing, but they probably think he was just another Dr, and not working with her case, or they wouldn't have admitted that. That said, she has copies of everything, and has kept copies for herself. She's looking at that operative report right now.

Atta girl!

— if this goes to court, a judge would be all over the surgeon like stink on s#!t for destroying the records.

My guess is that the malpractice insurance company will go for an out-of-court settlement.

Tiffany, and you, deserve every dime of compensation coming your way. Not just reimbursement for the out-of-pocket monies you've spent, but for the difference that has occurred in your lives since this happened. You can't put a price on that.
