How exactly do you hire coaches to coach for him? Just get those that are fired from current job without a hope for anything better? Serious question

Overpay and go after coaches who aren't worried about their career trajectory.

It’s a paycheck. Some coach will need it. Problem will be the contract language you’re selling.

I was all cornbread until a couple weeks ago, but I think it would be genious if they found a way to overcome all obstacles, and do the smart thing. It's really a no-brainer when you think about it. He has all the experience in the world, and is still quite young. He has proven himself at many places. I know many people say that he failed at USC, but have you actually looked at all the probation restrictions that he overcame?! It was just short of miraculous.

Edit: My favorite season in the past, oh 15 years, was the season that we had Kiffin. It was like being on a rollercoaster ride. To each his own, but it was the opposite of what had become boring Fulmer.

UT is already overpaying the entire staff and is going to have to continue to overpay no matter what... or when. It's the cumulative effect of doing what UT has done for years.

Agents now strike previously unstrikable clauses and demand no mitigation clauses as a matter of course. They have the leverage and use it mercilessly. Precedent has been set, and the genie isn't going back in the bottle. The upcoming TV money will make it worse.

Here is where I'm at with the whole coaching search thing if Pruitt is let go. Obviously my first choice would be to go get Freeze, but before that I think you go kick the cans with Urban , Bob Stoops, or Chris Petersen just to see what kind of dialogue you could open up with them. If all that falls through with them and Freeze....I wouldn't mind calling up Malzahn and see where he is at. I think Malzahn could have a Rick Barnes type of effect on our football program. I don't want any part of Napier or Chadwell right now.

So why not shut the program down a few years and come back with a new plan. It may be the best option at this point. It seems to be getting exponentially worse and it's clearly not getting any better here until something drastic happens.
