If he is here next year and does poorly he’s gone regardless of the fan turnout.

I never understand this angle, there are 80 somewhat kids still giving their all for the university and they deserve the fans’ support even if the coach doesn’t. Also reducing the income of the athletic department doesn’t exactly help in paying a buyout and hiring a new big time coach.
It is a difficult situation, for sure. The only real way that fans have a voice is to choose not to spend their money. Less money and the admin definitely notices. I don't want to hurt the kids, but this might be the only way to get our dysfunctional admin to listen.

Of that’s very easy

Successful leaders of organizations set a culture where the followers get in line and align themselves with what’s acceptable and away from what’s not

Now sure there’s always going to be a bad apple or two with groups this large but his message seems to suggesting widespread culture problems on a team he’s supposed to be bringing up to a certain standard. He’s failed them

if you don’t believe in this you don’t believe leadership is Anything more than just making plays and setting an example. Imo that’s a type of leadership but it takes a more alpha vocal leader to lead as I suggest.

Guessing on Pruitt:

Anybody that's trying to act like they know what's going to happen here is full of it. I've tried to talk with as many folks as possible around this situation with Pruitt and as far as I can ascertain, Tennessee's brass seems keen on finding a way to end this relationship with their coach in as easy a way as possible. That said if Tennessee determines that parting with Pruitt is too costly they may decide to bring him back. The money piece seems to be the only real factor in whether or not Pruitt gets to stay here. I'll put this in plain English ... Tennessee's brass is all but convinced that Pruitt isn't the answer as the Vols football coach. Of course I'm not counting Fulmer in this sweeping observation but Tennessee's administration wouldn't be investigating and subsequently wounding a coach they really hoped to bring back ... Now.....They might be forced to bring him back as a last resort but believe me ... this is going to be a last resort if he comes back.

What does everyone think the overall reaction will be when/if nothing happens this week? Can this thing get even more volatile? Will we, as a fan base, continue the tradition of getting jazzed up over assistant coach hires, even if most of us have never heard of em? I feel like the university is about to slap us in the face and I think we may take it and hand them our money because we love the program so much.

There will be two ways it's basically announced IF Pruitt is back. Either an official statement of support (not likely) or a new hire to replace an assistant. If either of these occur, the fanbase needs to make the Schiano situation look like child's play in comparison. That is all.

He’s not, thankfully. I’ve watched the RF sink into almost the FF for about a month. Covid sidelined me for about a month and I’ve done mostly reading. You are one of the level headed posters here and enjoy your posts. I get the frustration and angst here and at a loss where our program goes here on out.
I guess that I am chopped liver, huh?
