True. The reason we keep hearing he wants to coach here is that he knows our fanbase would fall for it, get behind it, and push it. At the very least he gets a lot of attention. He’s playing us.

It’s hard for me to see him righting the ship now. He seems to be completely checked out and disinterested whether it be from the work or the admins/boosters being involved to much.

Doesent mean he can’t but things would need to change drastically

Is this from talking to him? Is he so old that he doesn’t realize that this was year three? It doesn’t take six years to build a program like UT. He and Pruitt will be fired next year if Pruitt is retained.

I'll hope they win but won't go to any games, give any money, or buy anything related.

im checked out on Pruitt. He proved to me that hes too damn stubborn to learn from his mistakes. He is a hot head of a head coach and belittles his coaches. RUMORS have it, that he has fired a coach more than once during a game and took it back after it was over. Im sure he is a good DC because he doesnt have to worry about Politics. But as a head coach he stinks.

Always pull for the Vols. Does not mean I have to give money or go to any games. Tired of being served s*** over and over. It is clear Pruitt is not going to work out and waiting a year to pull the plug makes the rebuild harder for the next coach. But that is what UT does. Waits too long to make the correct move.

I don’t think I will watch a game next year. Our offense is so bad that it is painful to get through a game. That’s how bad we are. Yet Pruitt is still not fired. This administration gives two craps about fans and I hope the fans respond

IF the Fulmer meddling with the football program rumors are true, then I don’t think Fulmer believes that Pruitt can be successful, I think Fulmer thinks HE can be successful in guiding Pruitt. That’s why he doesn’t want to give up on Pruitt. He’s got his hands deep into this program right now.

Highly doubt Pruitt is fired, unless Fulmer is fired too.

If the Vols hired a random pee wee coach, you would watch a game next year. Your posts make it obvious you care a great deal. Like me and most of us, you’ll watch most games, even if it puts you in a bad mood for a week.

The fanbase as a whole has both though right? Fans could force the change, but just like the UTAD and the boosters, they can't all agree what's best for the program and work together. You have the ones that argue "fans have no say and should just root for the team blindly and ignore any issues". Blah blah blah. Plus apathy is at an all time high so that plays a big factor as well

I was watching some of the throws Salter makes when he's in scramble mode. Some of those throws into coverage work in high school but will get picked often in college. I hope he gets the coaching he needs.

My understanding is that he was not paying players directly - the players were using scholarship funds for things other than school related expenses.

from what I saw it was the schools compliance and not the coaches making the mistakes

To accept you made a bad hire and extension, is to acknowledge that the program you lead is not doing its best under your leadership. That's the painful reality for Phil, UT leadership and major boosters. Fix it or watch the program continue to die. Nothing the average fan (us) can do about it other than let our desires be known. Loudly.
