If that is indeed Pruitt's pitch it's a sad one. How about laying out a better plan to win some damn games. Talent doesn't do you any good if not put in the best possible position to succeed.

Napier isn’t even making 1 million a year yet, his latest contract negotiations were more to pay his staff.

That’s not how buyouts work if they leave for another school.

I completely agree. However the problem is there isn’t a coach out there on Urbans level. But even if there were, TN wouldn’t hire him anyway. I believe if he do hire another HC it will likely be another coordinator or google coach.

I'm afraid you are right. It seems that to UT, a 7 or 8 win coach would be a homerun hire. I want to beat Saban before he slinks off into the sunset. We have a huge mountain to climb.

No, I doubt it's that much. His buyout for leaving is probably different than what the school would owe him if fired.

James Franklin has something like a $32 million buyout if fired, but its only $5 million for him to leave for another job

If the Pruitt/Ty Simpson narrative has any truth, then Simpson should go ahead and commit to UT and try to get some other guys to join him to help Pruitt's 'case'.
