I understand, but the discussion seems to always start and end with the scheme with him.

I'm more concerned with the fact that the guy has lost a lot of games in every coaching stop he has made. I think South Carolina could have easily hired him and they hard passed.

I don't see TN making the kind of hire required to compete with and beat bama, period. Freeze might be competitive, someone like Urban would keep poor Nicky awake at night, but we don't do big time hires.
I think UT would be completely satisfied fielding a bit better than .500 team each and every year. No desire to play with the big boys.

Why people keep bringing up Urban Meyer is baffling. The guy turned Texas down. Think about that. Texas. A team flush with money. Huge recruiting base. And he turned them down. Meyer is not going to go to any school other than that of an established power house. Why do you think he chose Ohio State?
