Gus ****** sucks, his PoS offense sucks...I will be miserable if they hire him. I have zero confidence in him to do much better than Pruitt here, especially without Steele.
His offense needs some tweaks, sure. I’ll buy that.

But what we need is bigger than pure X’s and O’s football - it’s the ability to run a competent and competitive football program. Gus has done that for the better part of a decade at a similar-sized job.

I agree, however, the way I read the article is that the players decided it. At the end of the day, they are the ones that are playing and going through the protocols.
Send em all back to wherever they come from, pat em on the back and say "It is your choice, we understand" then cancel their scholarships and get new players that want to actually fulfill their obligations for the massively expensive free schooling they are getting for PLAYING SPORTS...not sitting around doing nothing for year after year..

You’re opinion is absolutely garbage, his offense has averaged over 30 ppg in his 8 years at Auburn.

He’s never had a losing season either.
Lol. 30 ppg gets you around 50th nationally the last 3 years. That's hardly something to hang your hat on. Can't use his national ranking in ppg or yards/game because they are pedestrian at best and "Pruitt-esque" at worst.

Kevin Steele is why Auburn hasn't been a dumpster fire since 2016. Which is why they paid Gus 21 million to keep the same staff. Obviously the people who actually watch Auburn play understood who the problem was and who was the reason they were winning at all.

They thought that they were going to be in the Sweet 16 and here they are in the Sweet 1-6.

Really bad shooting team, especially from 3. Didn't stop them from jacking up 17 of them to only make 5. Louisville was just as bad today, guess they started playing like their opponent.

I have to believe we’re already talking to or have talked to Malzahn. Either he’s interested or he isn’t.

If he is, get a deal done quickly.

If he isn’t, pick your second candidate: Napier, Chadwell, etc., and hopefully get a deal done with that candidate quickly.
I would take Napier over Gus.

Go to you tube and search it up. It's real and there's been very well respected doctors that have studied it's use and testified in Congress. The studies are really unbelievable. It's real. Big pharma nd hence politicians can't make trillions off it that's why you haven't heard about it.
Just like they have not been screaming from every rooftop available for people to stock up on Vit D and C and Zinc despite the overwhelming mountain chain of evidence that deficiencies in those, especially Vit D, is absolutely the cause of hospitalization and death in sooooo many people.

Garbage opinion or not, I absolutely believe he would fail spectacularly at Tennessee, and nothing will change my mind besides being proven wrong...and IF we were to hire him I would 100% be hoping to be proven spectacularly wrong. I have had to watch AU games for years with the in-laws and I know what I saw.

You can't tell em..they will not listen.

Gus averaged 9 wins prior to Steele, 8.2 since his hire.

Y’all trying to say a dude with 3 wins over Bama & a SEC Title + National Title game appearance with a 66% career winning record in SEC West is “Pruitt-esqque” are just wrong.

You can dislike a coach without him having to suddenly be “trash”. And he hired Steele, so at least he’s willing to hire good coaches to be on his staff. Not sure how that’s a negative.

Malzahn hasn’t exactly been stellar at developing the QB situation.

That’s been my biggest knock off on him.

His high school offense can be effective with the right QB but again, can he develop that position?

He wouldn’t be my first choice but certainly not the worst we could do.

How does their seven footer not have a single field goal in the last two games?

Yeah, I think he’s not had the right QB for his offense since Cam. Is that bad recruiting, bad development, or just poor luck? Who knows, even with a true freshmen last year they went 9-3, not exactly 3-7.

I also wonder if being at UT with freedom to hire who he wants will help.
