Wasn’t there a full page very odd add taken in the Tennesseean a few months back where a terrorist attack was predicted Over the holidays in Nashville?

I swear something like that happened

It predicted an attack in July. But it could be connected. It was pretty creepy

I get that and respect it but looking at the totality of the post fulmer years has taught me to celebrate any seasons with 7 wins.

You mean the post Fulmer years have taught you to lower expectations. That’s understandable. There are 3 teams, at most 4 on our schedule each year that out recruit and out-talent us (Bama, UGA, Florida, and depending on either a great OOC a opponent or our rotating west opponent). 8-4 should be the floor, not the ceiling. And with a quality HC, it would be.

So, share time for me. A little over a year ago my wife talked her cousin into going into rehab after he got a DUI and his license suspended. Dude was at rock bottom. He was broke, no car, no license, and hooked on opioids. He spent two months in the rehab facility, then moved in with us, and just started getting his feet under him when the pandemic hit.

Fast forward a year later. He’s clean. Stayed clean. He has his license back, and a full time job working with a contractor who been letting him drive a work truck back and forth from the house until he can get his own truck. The contractor is scared of losing him that he’s been getting steady raises and they’re working out some health insurance options.

And the dude snuck my two amps out of the house... to get them repaired as a Christmas gift. I’ve been meaning to get them fixed for a couple years now and that just meant the world to me.

The world feels like a real crappy place sometimes, and I’m thankful my wife got her cousin back.

My daughter got me a really cool gift. She purchased me a drive in a performance car at a racetrack. I get to choose from several cars including a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, a McLaren, a mustang Shelby gt500, and numerous others. The tracks are at many NASCAR tracks including Daytona, Talladega, Atlanta, and Charlotte. Can't decide what car to try.

Go with the Delorean and take us all back to 1998. please.
Or, better yet, photoshop some embarrassing pictures of Mike Hamilton and leak them to Jimmy Hyams so that Hamilton cannot take over as AD.

Yeah, it’s part of the reason they should pull the plug now. Pruitt is never going to win anything here, but we can lower our expectations so he survives for a while.

If you bring him back after 3-7, I personally believe it’s pretty easy to justify bringing him back next season at 6-6 or 7-5 - especially if we get a fluke win over Georgia or something thrown in the mix.

Then we’ll all be geared up for 2022, expecting a big step forward, and only get 7 or 8 wins, max.

Next year probably has the easiest schedule I can remember - it should be given to a new coach to help build some momentum. Not used as a life preserver for a coach we know can’t cut it.

Easiest schedule? What better time to let a new coach get his sea legs?

Your post makes it seem like 7-5 isn’t “good” and I think we have to remind ourselves that this program has won 8 only twice since fulmer left. Winning 7 would be a very solid season and should be celebrated as such imo

Seven wins should never be celebrated or even feel decent about. Just can’t stomach 7 and feel good about a coach in his 4th season. This season should be 9 wins at min. Again it’s his 4th season
