So, share time for me. A little over a year ago my wife talked her cousin into going into rehab after he got a DUI and his license suspended. Dude was at rock bottom. He was broke, no car, no license, and hooked on opioids. He spent two months in the rehab facility, then moved in with us, and just started getting his feet under him when the pandemic hit.

Fast forward a year later. He’s clean. Stayed clean. He has his license back, and a full time job working with a contractor who been letting him drive a work truck back and forth from the house until he can get his own truck. The contractor is scared of losing him that he’s been getting steady raises and they’re working out some health insurance options.

And the dude snuck my two amps out of the house... to get them repaired as a Christmas gift. I’ve been meaning to get them fixed for a couple years now and that just meant the world to me.

The world feels like a real crappy place sometimes, and I’m thankful my wife got her cousin back.

I hope he keeps doing well. Positive stories like this is what the world needs more of.

My wife was in Black Sheep once or twice a week, usually about that time of day. First thing after I heard, I was tracking her down. Apparently went up fast, but nobody hurt. Hope the businesses will be able to relocate. I got may hair cut there from time to time, too. Sad.

I kinda doubt it will be rebuilt. That's in a part of town that's off the beaten path, and there hasn't been much activity there. My church is just across the street.

How’s Drew and your brother’s family? You might have already posted an update on their situation and sorry if I missed it. I’ve been battling the Covid since first week of December and just now can claim to be in my senses. (Depending on my posts, I may still claim incoherence, lol) seriously, hows Drew?

Nothing about him transferring, just opting out of bowl. Article says likely going into the draft, which I'd expect too. He's been very good for them.

Hey @StoVol thanks for the offer to get some grub yesterday. That was a definite Volbro moment... 👊🏼 After a brutal morning, I ended up ordering takeout from Calhouns (could’ve been worse) and watching the first 3 Die Hard movies... (I’d honestly never seen them)... All in all, it was better than I thought... but I’ll say this: I wouldn’t wish divorce on anyone. Well, mostly anyone. My thought was if I could get through the emotions of the 24th and 25th of December and I knew I’d be okay. I accomplished that goal and feel good. I appreciate the well wishes and prayers. So many people have it a lot worse and lost loved ones for good this year. I’m a blessed man.

Oh, and FYI, my Christmas present was peace. No bit*hing woman to derail the day with her incessant nagging and complaining. Sorry, too far? 🤦🏻‍♂️
