They were blowing up a data center. Not trying to kill anyone afaik
Very interesting Cat.

I remember reading some about data storage centers for a business IT class. I wonder why more aren't underground, specially for critical business, govt, and civic infrastructure.

Is it normal to have an important data center sitting exposed like that? Maybe that's a risk many still don't consider. There is espionage (corporate and foreign) but who expects something as blatant and public as this?

This is 100% true. Homeless area every where down town. Wasn’t like that even 5 years ago.
My wife use to have a condo in The Ridgefield before we got married. I'm not from Kport, but it was always a pretty clean town. Where did the homeless pop. Come from?

My youngest is 15 and I'm still assembling Christmas gifts.

Built my first PC at 15 as well. AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and a 9800 Pro. Thought I had killed it via static or something because it wouldn't power up when I plugged it in. 2 hours of panic before eventually realizing a cable from the PSU was resting on a metal piece of the case and causing a short.

No clue. I’ve heard that a lot aren’t locals they just have a lot of churches and organizations that help them out so they come here from other places. Not sure.

How fun would it be knowing that our future coach is playing in a bowl tomorrow? Freeze, Chadwell, and Napier have their games tomorrow and it's very exciting to watch their offenses and examine the way they run things. I think that all would likely come here if we asked and would be exciting upgrades. Salter and Bailey would be legit in all three systems.

But Fulmers ego is gigantic and we have no idea how to be successful even with the answer right in front of us. I truly hate what this football program has been for the past 15 years, a national laughing stock and Vanderbilt 2.0.

I'd say its very likely AT&T was the target:

"AT&T said the affected building is the central office of a telephone exchange, with network equipment in it. The blast interrupted service, but the company declined to say how widespread outages were.
“Service for some customers in Nashville and the surrounding areas may be affected by damage to our facilities from the explosion this morning. We are in contact with law enforcement and working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service,” AT&T spokesman Jim Greer said in an emailed statement.

The AT&T outages site showed service issues in middle Tennessee and Kentucky, including Bowling Green about 65 miles (105 kilometers) north of Nashville. Several police agencies reported that their 911 systems were down because of the outage, including Murfreesboro and Knox County, home to Knoxville about 180 miles (290 kilometers) east of Nashville.
The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily halted flights out of Nashville International Airport because of telecommunications issues associated with the explosion."

Cornbread is a bad HC. That's all their is to it . Reference the Dave Bartoo CFB Matrix, mentioned earlier. F grade. He might luck up into a 7-5 next year, if we find a QB and we win some toss ups. Otherwise, 4-5 wins. And he'll get canned. Point is if we had just an average HC, then KY, Vandy, USCe are easy wins.

They pretty much camped out at that place..

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against going to a bar, but that place was a sh!thole..
It’s actually probably the motel people Pay by the month for That’s behind it. It’s odd to drive by that dump and see people sitting on couches they put outside. Live pd could have had a field day there. i got out of that town before my kids were old enough to start school.

Used to be a place back in the 70s called the Nite Life on old JC hiway. We called it the Knife Fight.. A few of us were in there one night (underage). I was arm wrestling and took some big old drunk dude's money. He got really pissed because my 5'10" 160lb ass beat him, so him and his buddies wanted to fight. The bouncers threw us out, thank god. We probably would've gotten killed. They were some rough old boys and we were young and VERY STUPID....

Ahh, it's not that bad. My kids grew up here. There are MUCH worse and rougher places than Kingsport..
