In honor of @Bassmaster_Vol.

Here’s my opinion that nobody asked for but is certainly better that BruBear’s (I know shots fired):
We will keep spinning our wheels on this program until someone who cares about Tennessee football is able to swallow their pride and get everyone on the same page. Does CJP and staff need to be fired? Absolutely. In any other job if you underperform your lose your job. Why should a position that pays millions of dollars a year with much loftier expectations be exempt from this standard. He’s been gives 3 years to build something and show progress. He’s halfway built something that’s fallen apart this year and as a result has not shown progress.
Should Fulmer be fired as AD? If he fails to see that changes need to be made, then he lacks the leadership and vision to run the Tennessee athletic department. Doesn’t matter what he did in the past. He could have won the Medal of Honor. That’s in the past. He has a different set of standards to uphold now. If anything, his job is more important than head coach. He determines the future of this program. Do we sustain substandard performance or do we strive for excellence? We have enough money to make a decision either way. A Top 5 revenue producing program doesn’t serve s**t on a sandwich and call it prime rib.
On a personal more biased note, my fandom is in jeopardy. I have supported this program and it’s decisions through 15 years of execution that matches what a local C-USA team here in Hattiesburg does. I get tired of talking to fans of other SEC teams who beam with pride on their teams performance while they look on at us Vol fans as a bunch of delusional hopefuls as we talk about one day we might be competitive again.
Enough about that. Hope y’all have a Merry Christmas. I’m enjoying the time off. January on holds a lot of training for units coming through Camp Shelby.
I’m glad to have all 3. Can’t believe he wasn’t enthused when speaking on Cody. Dude is a beast. Was reading the article on what Pruitt said about our running backs, so let me sum it up.
"Tiyon Evans, cant wait to get here, great premier back." (Drooled about him)
"Jaylen Wright, great vision, great speed, cant wait to get him here." (Again, drooled about him)
"Glad to have Cody Brown" (basically)
lol
Any time my friend! So happy he got to be home with his family for Christmas!! God is good!Merry Christmas, VolNation!
I really appreciate this site @Freak.Super jelly of you folks east of the plateau with all the beautiful snow.
But I’ll take what few flurries my boys were able to see before going to bed here in mid TN.
I wanted to share some uplifting news on Drew. He is a solid month into chemotherapy. He’s had some very scary moments of blood transfusions. But has rebounded the last week. His white blood cell count reached safe barriers enough for the oncologist to authorize him to be home for Christmas! Praise God!
He got home two days ago, and we were able to scrounge and get their house decorated for Christmas. Let’s pray he has a relaxed time at home and doesn’t have any scary moments before going home right after the new year.
I’d also like to thank @Z06VolinWV for some constructive conversations we’ve had about supplemental treatments. He’s really gone above and I appreciate ya brother!
If you’d like to continue to support his family please do so. Expenses will continue to pile up for the next four months.
Healing for Drew!, organized by Scott Warren
Was gonna be said whether true or not. It’s what other fanbases have promoted from day one. It is not surprising that now when people are looking to explain why they haven’t stepped up and ponied up we’re recycling their attacks. It happens in politics all the time. Personally I think it’s nonsense born of frustration although I do think Fulmer is heavily involved. This stuff coming out about Fulmer.![]()

That said, Fulmer ain’t our issue. We’ve had different coaches and different ADs. Many of those folks had success before and after us. Our problems lie with our boosters and powerbrokers. They are the common denominator. The only ones present for each and every failure.
We can hire yet another AD and coach as we have a billion times before. Nothing will change until our boosters and factions get serious about football and cede their power to an AD who is allowed to act as an AD. When they learn to out their money down and stfu and let the experts do their jobs we will start to get it together but not before.
If anyone was paying up we’d have a coach. No one is stepping up. When they do we will have one. That has nothing to do with Fulmer. It really is that simple. We hear a lot of talk but unless we are waiting on the holidays no one is willing to put it on the line. Fulmer is irrelevant in that regard and that’s also a problem because we operate so dysfunctionally with regards to ADs and everything else if we are honest. No one is saying Fulmer is the only issue. But he's the main one in holding onto Pruitt atm like he's some lost lover. The old ass out of touch boosters need to stop being stubborn, they don't get what it takes to win in college football in 2020. Hell they didn't get what it took 10 years ago either. So kindly **** off and nod in agreement with the ones that do. That's what they need to do.
