Official Christmas Christmas Zone Thread

The only thing we made today was peanut butter balls. The grandkids never eat their plain ole chocolate bunnies at Easter for whatever reason (too much other candy, I guess), so we put them in the freezer and save to make candy at Christmas. HA

Man I love peanut butter balls. Those things are addicting

I love it too. My mom got it for me for our wedding gift. I feel like I need the next size up though, especially when doing cakes. Can barely hold the icing that I need!
I think it was two years ago that my wife was burning up mixers making butter cream icing. She burned up three or four in a few days. Sam's had one of the Kitchen Aids (I don't know which size we have, but it's heavy!) marked down from $329 to like $189, and they had them for pickup in the Johnson City store. So she had told me to pick up another mixer at WM or something on my way back from our faculty Christmas lunch after school was out. So I got to talking with some folks there who were telling me what all they could do with theirs and how I would never find one at that price again. I left down there a little early and drove to Sam's and brought it home. That was our Christmas gift that year, and she was ecstatic. Where she's not able to work, we don't exchange gifts with each other in a "normal" sense. We just buy something that we think we need for the house. This year, she wanted (for meatballs and cookies) a good cookie scoop set. So I got a Jenaluca (sp?) three scoop set and a large magnetic upright knife holder (hasn't gotten here yet). That scoop set is pretty nice, though.

Dang! That's a lot of mixers to destroy. I have not used more than the standard attachments. My sister gave me the ice cream mixer attachment, but I haven't tried that one out.
