Windy's football discussion thread.

Let’s review

-CPF was calling recruits saying CJP will be back next year. Before signing day.
-the 2 big boosters last week offered support for CPF publicly
-Fulmer tweets support for CJP the bowl game And next season tonight.

conclusion: we ain’t firin Pruitt, AighT.
I thought Thorton was no longer considered a big booster?

So, five SEC teams with losing records are going bowling in 2020 (assuming the games aren't canceled for covid-related reasons during the interim).

2-8 South Carolina (Gasparilla)
4-6 Kentucky (Gator)
3-7 Arkansas (Texas)
3-6 Tennessee (Liberty)
2-7 MissState (Armed Forces)

Meanwhile, 9-2 Army is left out due to the cancellation of their bowl game. One of these SEC teams needs to step up, work with the bowl sponsors to swap out for Army. I'd offer SoCar or Miss State, but I'm not an alum of either one. I'm a Tennessee alum. Tennessee, the volunteer state. I know that Fulmer is elated to have the practice/development time that a bowl provides, and he's probably pleased to have the TV exposure, BUT, UT has a chance to right a wrong, to be selfless, to be the better program and university (Fulmer is not listening/reading me, here). What say you, VN Zoners?

I actually don’t think he gets fired next season unless it goes like this one did which I don’t see happening either. This season wasn’t expected to do much due to covid.
I don’t think he gets fired next year either. If they keep him for going 3-8 they’re not going to fire him for going 6-6

I don't want to quote myself, and I still don't want this guy here. Fair is fair, though, since I just spoke on here against him.
Saturday at 4:48 PM #33,852 is when I made the post.

So I have a first cousin twice removed (I think that's right, I'm first cousins with his grandma) is in a children's hospital off-and-on for over a year with a type of leukemia. He's 9 years old. His mother, whom I've never met, is from Mississippi and had a relative or something who worked or works in the Packers organization, so he is a big Ole Miss and Green Bay fan.

So I found out today that at some point *during* the season that somehow Kiffin found out about it and did a Zoom meeting with Jonathan to encourage him to keep fighting. They took a pic of his face when he was in the meeting, and it was priceless. It put a lump in my throat for sure.

That's pretty dam cool.

I **** you not.

we do not have a candidate that the administration likes well enough to fire CJP. Apparently the scuttle but is if we make a move it will only be because we have an agreement with the next guy beforehand. Again this is 3rd hand information at best and therefore likely wrong but it would certainly explain CJP staying.

I put the valve of this information at plausible as I still believe incompetence at the administration level to be the issue.

I was also told that I’m still hated with an undying passion. One of these days I might tell y’all the story of what I did.
